This toy has been a blast for our year old cat! He loves this thing. We have hung it up in several doors. The toy on the end will pop off if the cat stretches it enough - no big deal - you just snap it back on. The string that the toy is attached to is stretchy - so when the cat lets go of it - it slings around. Our cat really LOVES this toy and will play with it so hard that he will pant. If your cat is pretty active - this might be a great toy.
One of my two cats loves this! He gets insane with it. The only drawback is if you put it where the mouse can get hung up on a lamp, cabinet, etc. When that happens my little guy cries until I put the mouse back into play. I think my other cat would play with it if the other would let him.
The cats absolutely love this toy and I only let them use it while supervised. Thank goodness for that because I found a tiny piece on the floor and realized it is the eye from the mouse on this toy. The nose was made out of one too. I pulled all of them out of the toy so none of my cats choke on these pieces or swallow them because they are sharp too. Not a good thing to use on a pet toy. Especially when they come out so easily. I'd buy it again but would be sure to remove these parts before letting the cats play with it.
My cat loved it for 2 days (not surprised, this is typical). However, when I take the toy down from the door he loves to chase it, so I'm still getting use out of it. Good quality, fits any door and/or hangs easily from other places, great price.
Our cat LOVES these. He has killed one so we had to stock up on a few more. Either hanging like it is supposed to or taking it down to play with him by hand, just the sound of this toy being touched will wake him from a sound sleep.
One of my cats absolutely LOVES this door hanger. The second I take it out of the packaging she gets excited. She’ll play with it in spurts of half an hour, and come back a few times a day. It’s currently hung on my bedroom door so I frequently wake up hearing her play with it. My only complaint is that the elastic cord is a little flimsy. We’ve had three of these now and the same day I put up the third, the cord started to fray. Not a huge issue because I can tie a knot in it, but my cat is a shortie so if I tie it more than once she has a hard time reaching it. I did attach a bell to it once where the mouse is and she LOVED that!
If you have high doorframes like we do, this won’t hook. I hook it to our cabinets when I’m able to supervise him and he goes absolutely bonkers for it, but it flies off the cabinet doors a lot and I wouldn’t allow him to play with it when I’m not here—afraid he might get it wrapped around his neck. That said, the mouse itself has a rattle, which he loves, and he likes to drag it around the house when it’s unhooked.
My cat loves this! It’s one of his favorites. I like that it has a pressure release so my cat can’t do any damage with it. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because the pressure release clip can easily be chewed on and broken. But I’ve already ordered a replacement for mine!
When I put it on the door, she LOVED it. Played with it constantly for 15 min and wouldn’t leave it alone. The next day I put it up before I went to work and she broke it (it has a breakaway buckle so it fell off) and proceeded to eat most of it- including the string. Thankfully she vomited it back up. I would only suggest using this under supervision. I was so excited to help get her physical activity and happy she loved this toy but it could have ended badly for Jak.
Our foster absolutely adores these toys. The first time we hanged one on the doorframe, he played 2 hours straight. Unfortunately, we’ve purchased three of these, and each one of them has broken the same way: the plastic clip that forms the bottom half of the breakaway snaps off, and there’s no way to fix it.
