I got this because my girly likes to chew; I used to have a dog that would go to town on this thing so I figured I'd give it a try. Turns out she doesn't care to chew on it very much and the hole is a bit too large to secure her little treats in, but she LOVES IT SO MUCH. She loves to watch it bounce around in random directions. She likes to bat it across the living room to the top of the stairs and then watch it bounce all the way down, then she'll bring it back up in her mouth and do it again. It's the only toy (of the mountain of options she has to choose from) that she actually plays with. I have bought a couple for family members with cats too. Unexpected champion of cat toys.
My cat loved it, but it didn't hold up. He's a big chewer, and it started to deteriorate the first day. I'm going to try a dog Kong for him. Probably better for cats that don't actively chew on toys.
My cat, Kiki, loves this toy. It's the perfect size for him to grab and chew on, he can't destroy it, and it's easy to put a few treats in there and have him entertain himself for a bit.
Device is too small for Feline Greenies and has a horrible rubber smell. They hated it.
My two cats love this toy! Jules loves batting things around and often knocks several pieces of food out at once. Earl follows behind her and they both eat the treats. I love it because it doesn't give them too much food or treats as they are borderline too heavy. The only caution is if your cat loves throwing toys under the couch, this one could go too! Jules figured out if she pushed it under the couch, she wasn't getting treats, so she is cautious to keep it away from the family room!
My cats love this and keeps them occupied for a while. The one likes to chew on things and this has helped!
I put my cat’s favorite treat inside. The rubber smell immediately made my cat throw up. She won’t go near it.
My cat likes to chew and chase. Thought she might like this but she has no interest in it whatsoever. It is tiny and cute, but not useful as a toy. Also, I thought the write-up mentioned putting treats inside. Not possible, as the hole goes all the way through so anything you put inside will immediately come out the other end.
As with all food-oriented cat toys, I wouldn’t leave my cat alone with this, but it’s a great toy for supervised chewing. I’m sure my cat will put a hole in it eventually, but I check it before I give it to him and when I pick it up at the end of play to make sure I catch any damage as soon as I can. I managed to put about 4-5 salmon greenies in the toy and while one immediately dropped out (which helped the boy realize there was something in it) the others stayed in long enough for him to bat it around for about 30-45 minutes. The last one had gotten a little noisy with his saliva and stuck to the inside of the toy. He loved picking it up, nosing it around, chewing on it, etc. I also tried it with a little bit of a lockable treat spread on the inner rim (I had dogs and we used to do this with their Kongs and peanut butter), and it had slightly less success. It was easier for him to lick it all off. A combination of the two would probably entertain him for an hour at least.
Ok I don’t know who has more fun with this me or her!! This thing is crazy bouncy and satisfying to throw! My cat is strange she likes to play fetch, and this thing even without treats in is entertaining. At first when I put treats in they came out super fast and I was worried she would get them out in like 5 minutes and be bored again. But that was just at the beginning!! After a while she had to work harder to get the last few out! Which was awesome!! (We use pillow treats by the way)
