KONGs are easy to keep clean and top-shelf dishwasher safe. Caretakers should regularly examine toys and look for cracks, separations and/or missing pieces. Inspect KONG rubber toys by flexing the rubber when it is dry. Loose pieces larger than a food nugget can be harmful if swallowed so make sure to remove or replace damaged or worn toys.
It took about 20-25 minutes to teach each of my cats how to use this and after that they have had so much fun my dog is legitimately jealous of them. I got it 2 days ago and I have been feeding them their dinner by gradually loading all of it into the ball and letting them whack it around all night. If you have a cat that likes whacking things (I do) this is perfect.

I have three cats, so far only one has figured out to bat it around until food pops out. The problem is he rolls it around once and a ton of food falls out, almost all of it that I put in there. Then once that is out, only a couple of pieces will fall out at a time. So maybe I didn't read enough about it before purchasing because I wanted to use this to feed them their dinners since they scarf their food down so fast that usually at least one of them vomits it back up. I was hoping this would slow them down. It's nice for a very small amount of food, though.
Catherine, a Texas cat

Our order was delivered on time in 2 days. Catherine did not pay much attention to the ball for a day or so but as with all play things she finally started tapping it around and giving some attention to the ball. By the end of the fourth day she had it figured out and seemed to enjoy the game of "Tap and Eat".
Cat not impressed

I had a smaller treat ball but the treats came out too easily. I thought this one would be more challenging. It's easy to fill, and it does take a bit longer to get the treats out, but it's no challenge for my cat. He knows if he just stands there and pushes it slightly with his head the treats will come out. I've tried different sized dry food/treats but the result is always the same. Disappointing for a Kong product.

My cat will bat this around all day, treats inside or not. I love that he has to work a little to get a treat but I also love that he still plays with it when it’s empty thinking somehow a treat might still be inside.
Great little ball

My cat loves to eat, I mean LOVES to eat. I have him on a strict diet and he thinks he's starving 99% of the time. I got this treat ball to put his food in a couple times a day to make him work a little for the food. He caught on right away and loves batting it around even if it's empty. It's easier to fill than other treat balls I've tried and the hole is big enough for several kinds of treats or food, but not too big that everything comes falling out all at once. Great buy!
Works correctly for cats who aren't lazy

This product does exactly as it says it does, but my cat has no interest in working for her food or treats... the hole is a little large so if you have a playful cat, they will probably empty it quickly.
It Took Her A Moment

To know what to do with it. I rolled it with my hand a few times so she can see what to do. Then I put some treats in there, shake it, so she knows there's treats inside and she rolls the ball everywhere until she gets all the treats out. I like it because she gets exercise in (along with other interactive toys) and because she has to earn the treats herself rather than me just handing it over to her. It's a simple cat toy and good to introduce them to the world of interactive toys. Buy it!
Just ok feeder

Easy to fill and inexpensive
Works into a variety of feeding toys used to slow my cat’s eating. This one has just one setting and so it’s easy. My cat empties this one quickly.
Works ok but...

I have had a few different snack dispenser balls in the past. This one works fine and it’s easy to use. The only problem I have with it is it dispenses the treats fairly easy so she finished with it in just a few minutes. I use it to keep my cat occupied and this just doesn’t last long enough.
