KONGs are easy to keep clean and top-shelf dishwasher safe. Caretakers should regularly examine toys and look for cracks, separations and/or missing pieces. Inspect KONG rubber toys by flexing the rubber when it is dry. Loose pieces larger than a food nugget can be harmful if swallowed so make sure to remove or replace damaged or worn toys.
At first I thought this toy was too easy for my cat. The hole on this toy is relatively large for normal cat treats so I used a larger treat and it made it more difficult for my cat. I use Greenies cat treats and it takes my cat around a half an hour to get them all out. When they fall out only one treat dispenses. My cat loves to play with it even after the treats are gone too. Definitely would recommend, especially with the low price.
Princess Darla loves it
on Jul 4, 2021
Darla is just 10 weeks old and loves batting this ball around the house. I look forward to putting treats in it for her when she is older. She will love it even more. I like that it doesn’t roll under furniture and get away from Darla. I think it will stand the test of time and be an all time favorite for her.
kitty works on it until it is empty

It is so fun to watch the kitties roll this thing around until they get it all. it needs roundish treats or they get stuck inside. Looking for a lower sugar bite for a healthy alternative.
great for small doggers

i got this for my 6 lb chorkie because every other treat dispensing toy for dogs is way too big for her. the first time, i just put in her kibble and the second she rolled it, it all spilled out. but i tried varying the treat sizes and that meters how quickly they come out and it's perfect. she loves it. depending how much i fill it and with how many treat sizes, it can occupy her for a while. she also will just carry it around sometimes.
Kept him entertained for a little while

We have a young and active cat and keep buying new toys to see which ones "stick." He batted the Kong around for a bit and liked the rattle of the treats, but didn't quite figure out that he could get treats from it. We'll keep at it and see if he gets smarter. Worth the few bucks. And he liked playing with it for a bit, but then went back to his other toys. He prefers plush balls and mice.
A Meh Treat Ball
on Jul 13, 2021
I was a bit disappointed in that the treats dispensed at a faster rate than expected. Even when I placed larger bits. It’s ok- nothing exciting- my kitties got bored with it quickly.
This is a hit & miss overall.

I had high hopes that this would get both cats to play longer or more often since there is a reward inside. But alas neither of them seem to get it yet. It will sit for days without being played with, and I even put some catnip mist on it hoping that would help--but that spray didn't work either on this hard surface or the soft toys...will have to put in some loose catnip and see if that will help make this a favorite toy!! I like it and still have hopes that they will too eventually!
Terrific for the "food driven" feline

My lady-like RAGDOLL kitty loves to play with "interactive" toys, but is usually not interested in taking advantage of the MANY toys she has. However, the KONG Active Treat Ball Cat Toy has become a favorite with her. She is stimulated, keeps herself busy and enjoys figuring out how to find the "reward"...the cookies inside the toy.
Cats don't like it.

No matter what treats I put in, my cats won't bother with this. I got a similar product that is translucent and my cats go crazy for that one.
This is a cheap, poorly thought out product and you should skip this purchase.
Sadly it didn't work well for my cats

My cats (both 3 years old) don't seem to like this toy. I thought that they would like getting treats out of it, but they show no interest. I think if I had tried it when they were kittens it would have worked better.
