KONGs are easy to keep clean and top-shelf dishwasher safe. Caretakers should regularly examine toys and look for cracks, separations and/or missing pieces. Inspect KONG rubber toys by flexing the rubber when it is dry. Loose pieces larger than a food nugget can be harmful if swallowed so make sure to remove or replace damaged or worn toys.
CHEWY-since you asked. I purchased this treat ball only because CHEWY said I needed to spend 13 cents more or I would be charged $4.95 Shipping on Bella’s Kitty Litter Autoship. So instead I spent $3.41 on this Kong Active Treat Ball. As you can see, after 3 years of obtaining her treats free, in exchange for my brushing her, my Bella doesn’t feel the need to have to work for her treats. That, and the fact that after I showed Bella how the treat ball worked, she ate her favorite Temptation Treats and left behind the usual crumbs which I normally clean up after I brush her. I don’t believe Kong or CHEWY have thought this item thoroughly thru. If someone else’s kitty enjoys playing with the treat ball and also leaves crumbs behind, YOU’RE LEAVING YOURSELF OPEN TO FIND A BUNCH OF ANTS WHEREVER YOUR KITTY HAS LEFT CRUMBS. Neither Bella nor I are a fan of this Kong Active Treat Ball and it was also donated to my favorite shelter; NEADY CATS located in Sterling, MA.
Best cat enrichment toy I have found so far. I love that the product is a reasonable price compared to other treat dispensers I have seen. The light weight plastic makes it easy to move, which is great for cats that are more gentle or not as determined to work for food. So far, the hole is big enough to dispense any cat treats or kibble.
Filling this with a mix of kibble and treats provides entertainment every day. This is, by far, the best value to for money. Both of my cats love them…
This has not failed to engage our cat's interest. He rolls it around the floor, even after he gets the treat out.
So I'm always looking for something keep my Lily busy and entertained, this little ball is perfect, it's lightweight, she likes playing with it even after she manages to get the treats out. Highly recommend
I liked the Kong treat ball, however, one of the cats swiped it off the shelf he could get to and it cracked when it fell to the floor. My suggestion to Kong would be to use a resilient material so it could take more "punishment" and still stay intact.
Cristina loved it so much!! She is 20 years old, and thinks she is still a kitten.
Our vet said to get something like this to get more activity for our cat. Unfortunately the hole to release the treats is too big and they all spill out. All cat treats are about the same size and not as big as dog treats. Does not work for cats.
Good toy, my older cat loves it. The treats come out easier than expected. They barely have to bat at it with their paw to get a treat out. I mixed in some dry food so they weren’t getting too many treats.
My kitten loves to use this treat dispenser! She associates the ball with treats. It keeps her entertained for a while. Don't hesitate....buy it!
