What are the size of the holes?

There are 3 holes in this toy, and each are oval-shaped. They are 1 inch wide, and ¾ inches tall. The egg slides side-to-side to expose the holes, so they can make the hole smaller if needed for small kibble or treats.
Does this unscrew and open up for cleaning?

A big hit with our kitties

We adopted two 10-month-old cats who were a bit chubby from being free fed while up for adoption. Now all their kibble (and wet food) is dispensed from puzzle toys. The egg is a big hit and they'll spend hours pushing it around trying to knock out all the kibble. Great entertainment and enrichment!

I'm up for the challenge

This egg-shaped treat dispenser is very fun! My mom puts treats in it but also a ball with a jingle bell inside so when I play with it, it makes a festive sound. I can give this quite a smack and it rolls across the floor and into furniture, all the while with treats popping out here and there. It's very sturdy. Mom likes it because it is easy to clean and can be set to multiple difficulty levels as far as how many openings and what size they are for the treats to fall out.

BAD DESIGN - TREATS FALL OUT

This "appeared" to be a great cat exerciser...but it has a BAD DESIGN. When it is twisted to make the holes smaller, other holes get larger, which MAKES NO SENSE. There is no way to make all the holes smaller at the same time. Because of this, a cat only has to move it around a couple of times, all the treats fall out of the larger hole(s) -- no way to keep this from happening. Waste of money!

Engaging to a bored cat

My cat does not respond too much to toys but every time I put treats in this, she becomes the most persistent cat. So happy I got her this toy.

Just got my 2nd one of these

Like the headline says, I just bought my 2nd one of these. I only bought one at first because, well, you know, cats can be picky. I have three cats. One of them adopted the first one of these as his own and the others just kept looking on sadly. I've had my 2nd one for about a week, along with one from a different company and now all three of my cats have their own.

not the greatest

Bought three of these for Christmas presents for the cats in my family. Problem is that the holes are difficult to adjust so either all the treats come out within a few seconds or none come out at all. I’m sure the cats enjoy it and don’t know the difference, but I prefer the kind that are in the shape of a lightbulb. Those are weighted at the bottom and the holes are the perfect size. This was a regretful purchase.

My cats would give this toy a five star review however I find the treats come out too fast or not at all if using any variety of greenie. My cats are young and clever so they found a way to roll them out immediately but they love it so it was worth the money.

Funkitty Great

It didn't take long for my kitties to learn how to use. I made my own food ball long time ago before there was even food balls for dogs. I used a dog squeaky ball, just took out the squeaker and filled it with food.

Adjustable!

Best rolling treat dispenser so far! The key: adjustable hole openings. Encourages our KitKat to work for his treats a bit (with a little roll help from us on carpet) and, when it gets too hard, we open the holes a bit more to reward him. He gets excited when we put treats in it! Deducted one star because smaller for cats would be much better.

Waste of money

I bought two of these one as a gift for a cat who is highly motivated by treats who had no interest in it. None of my cats bothered with it. Out of my ten cats nobody was interested in it. A lot of money for nothing.
