Did not receive the Kong flamingo dog toy that I ordered and is pictured above. Instead, received a Kong giraffe dog toy. Didn’t want the hassle of sending it back so gave it to my 18 pound, 18 month old Spaniel. That was a mistake. The dog tore it open in a few days and started eating the batting in the head cavity. NOT A DURABLE “KONG” toy. Other Kong toys were more durable, including the flamingo.
My dog recommends these to any other puppers! Very sturdy and super cute chewy was so helpful with my order! Definitely worth it! Thank you chewy!!
I mistakenly thought I was getting the toy pictured....didn't realize that they could send any of that group. I really wanted the flamingo and got a giraffe. It's a great toy, just not what I thought I was buying.
Our 2 year old retriever is pretty quick to destroy most plushies and I had to stop buying both his beloved lambchop & ropes because he’d start to deconstruct and eat them in the first 20 minutes. This Kong solved both problems & he loves it. As a Kong the plush is sturdier than most (the little felt pieces come right off but that’s to be expected) and he’s able to safely enjoy the rope because the ends are not accessible (at least not yet.) It immediately got his attention, he’s played with it all day on and off including several tug games with me and it still looks brand new, it’s only day 1 but still this is an accomplishment! Thank you Kong! More like this please!
I have an almost 2 year old Great Dane who is 7/10 rough on toys. I got him the flamingo over the giraffe since it suits his otherwise dainty personality, but either choice would have been fine considering the selling points which mattered more than "flamingo or giraffe" which I will outline further down (major eye roll at the people upset about which toy they got based on the sex of their dog - I promise your dog doesn't have gendered toy preferences). This INSTANTLY became his favorite toy. The bright colors attracted him instantly, and the combination of having a soft stuffed section, a squeaker, and a rope all in one make this toy very versatile! He'll chew on it and squeak it on his own, play tug with me, and cuddle with it during naps. I can see where some people may eventually experience some durability issues, and while the rope section in particular was a durability selling point for me, I think the overall diversity of the toy features is really what made this toy a must buy for my big boy. Even at 130 lbs, the medium/large toy is plenty big and I don't worry about him choking. I HIGHLY recommend this toy if you buy it with the right purposes and needs in mind!
I have a pitbull. He devoured it in seconds. Likes finding the squeaker. Definitely not for my pet. :)
I thought I was ordering a flamingo and received a giraffe!!
I have a 7 mo old cocker spaniel puppy and she loves to chew. She tears bones up but not so much her material toys, so this has lasted awhile for us. She has the giraffe and did manage to chew the little ears off but the braid has not come undone and the rest is holding up too. We have played some tug with it and it no holes or falling apart. I got the flamingo after seeing the giraffe hold up and because she really seems to like it--seems the right size for her for now. I do supervise her with all toys and bones and I do not include them in her kennel when shes in there for a length of time or stay out of sight for extended times. I think if it lasts and for how long depends on the dog and how it's used.
Rusty loves it! What else can I say? Chewy is the best! Sorry, I don't have a photo yet.
Gave this to our 15 mos old boxer and he had the wings ripped off the flamingo within 30 minutes at the most. Wow expected more from a KONG toy
