KONG rubber toys are made in the USA. KONG plush and non rubber toys are made in China. Toys made in China are designed and tested in the US.

Does this make any crinkling noise? or is it just plush?

This cat toy does not make a crinkling noise, but has a soft plush interior with a compartment to hold fresh catnip securely in place.

My kittens loved this toy - it made me glad that Rocky (of Rocky and Bullwinkle) is no longer around.! I like it because it gave me a choice of whether I wanted to give them any catnip. There is a pocket with good Velcro into which one can put it. I don't like to give them catnip so I didn't have to. I thank Frisco for making a toy with this choice!

Perfect Toys

After reading about providing toys that resemble prey to satisfy cats' hunting instinct, I found that Kong's refillable fuzzy critter toys did just that. I chose

After reading about providing toys that resemble prey to satisfy cats' hunting instinct, I found that Kong's refillable fuzzy critter toys did just that. I chose the squirrel with fuzzy tail and two furry mousies to try. Also purchased the catnip/silvervine blend and a pkg of silvervine chewsticks. My cats go nuts over silvervine. I stuffed the refillable Kong toys with the blend and away the cats went. These toys are on the expensive side but worth it in the long run because they are well made and can be refilled indefinitely. Highly recommend these.

Low quality materials

The tail and body are made from a high pile material that pulls out very easily when my cat plays with this. I do not feel it is safe to leave him unattended with

The tail and body are made from a high pile material that pulls out very easily when my cat plays with this. I do not feel it is safe to leave him unattended with it, and will be throwing it away. I recommend the turtle or beaver style instead which has a low pile, durable fabric. Kong usually makes high quality products but this is not one of them.
