Kurgo Rover Bucket Seat Cover, Charcoal

I have a very high regard for Kurgo products in general. They are typically well designed, well made, and use high quality materials. Aside from two significant detriments - this seat cover follows that tradition. THE ADVANTAGES: -Well made: The seat cover is well put together. I see no uneven or unravelling seams. And most seams are double-stitched. The cover is properly proportioned. The seat held up very well during two months of use and a strenuous wash. -High quality materials are used: The materials used are very durable, water resistant, and stain resistant. And, as mentioned before, have held up to 2 months of regular use and a very severe wash. THE DETRIMENTS: -Materials: While the material used is very durable and water and stain resistant, it's also very slippery. With just a slight turn of the steering wheel, my poor dog would be struggling for a foothold while she was sliding across the seat from the door to the console, or vice-versa. -Design: Why, oh why, do seat cover designers insist on locating the strap buckles at the geometric center of the underside of the seat - by far the most difficult and dangerous place to reach with modern car seats, much less grasp a buckle in each hand and wrap both arms under the seat while, at the same time, extending the elastic straps and trying to perfeclty align the two buckles for engagement. After spending half an hour in attempts to engage the buckles with this cover my hands were torn and bloodied. I am thouroughly convinced that seat cover designers are psychotic sadists. Particularly when it would be so easy to simply move the buckles to the bottom front or rear of the cover.
