I got a small bag and mixed it with some ZuPreen. My cockatiel is not very picky, but she will pick through the mix, not eating this. She will not eat it under any circumstance, she would sooner starve.
I have 2 picky cockatiels, who are very hung up on sunflower seeds, and generally only pick them out of their food, leaving the remaining seeds or throwing them out on the floor. I thought this would be a good change with the fruit flavors, however they didn't like this either. I ended up giving the package to a friend who said her cockatiels just loved the pellets. Well at least they didn't go to waste. The pellets have a pleasant scent and do provide many benefits for keeping your birds healthy.
My baby cockatiel, Romeo, is pretty picky and doesn't like fruit. He LOVES this pellet. I got him two different brands of pellet to try with him and my three budgies, so I could see which they liked better, I started by buying the parakeet sized pellets for everyone, and it was a huge hit! I'm getting Romeo his own 4 pound bag because he can't get enough of these! These are his second favorite food, after kale! :)
My four cockatiels, white winged parakeet, and green cheek conure all love this food. Super easy to switch them over from Roudybush and a great way to incorporate fruits into their daily food! So glad Lafeber came out with this fruit pellet!
My 2 cockatiels didn''t like this, nor did my green cheek conure. I also bought the conure size, hoping my sun or gold capped conure would like/eat it, and neither did they. I was bummed as not 1 of 5 of my birds liked either bag and I wasted my $, twice. Oh well. Back to the regular Lafeber pellets and Zupreem natural pellets for my flock.
Love lafeber food products. My cockatiels immediately got attached to this feed.
This is one of the two types of pellets our bird will eat.
