This brush is PERFECT for my cat and I. I have small hands, so the shorter handle is great for me, and the head of the brush is perfectly sized to lil miss ma'am. She's not tiny by any means, but she's definitely a small cat, so your mileage may vary. The dimensions of the head of the brush are about 2 inches wide by 1.5 inches tall. Bagheera absolutely loves brushies, she likes to bang her head into the brush, but her old slicker brush worried me because the tips weren't covered--not a problem with this brush! It's still scratchy enough to satisfy her, but I don't have to worry about her getting any cuts from the tips. She sheds a lot, even though she's a short haired cat, and this does great with trapping the hair and getting that undercoat hair. You have to clean it more often than you would with a larger brush, but that's a price I'm willing to pay since I don't have to worry about Baggs getting hurt.
Nice small size brush for cat hair maintenance, and tines are protected at the ends which helps with cat sensitivity. Still, use it gently and don’t go over the back middle spine area too much all at once or your cat can easily get over stimulated and probably want to scratch or bite. Just a little brushing with this type of brush goes a long way. If your cat needs grooming but gets too worked up over being brushed you can try holding a treat in one hand to feed them with and while they’re distracted by the treat then brush any clumped up area in back quickly but gently. A compromise that will leave you both happy!
it is much smaller than expected, tiny actually. I thought...hum, this is too small for my 15lbs cat, but alas, he loves it so much. the small size allows me to get easily under his chin, belly, limbs, pits, all the places a normal sized brush cannot. It also de-sheds so well! Will get backups.
I was hoping this small slicker brush with a cushioned pad would help groom my cats that hate being brushed. Unfortunately, the pins bent out of shape almost immediately and the coating on the pin tips are pokey (kind of negating the point of the coating). Not a good fit for long haired cats :(
I have long hair cats. The brushes I had were getting very old so I ordered a new one. I was surprised how small the brush is but it does a great job on their fur. My cats seem to like it by not wanting me not to stop brushing.
We have a medium-hair cat that sheds A LOT and needs to be brushed daily. I've always used a "typical" slicker brush. This little brush has tiny "tips" on the ends of the wires that protect the cat's skin, and my cat LOVES it!
I wrote before, about how my feline gals enjoy this brush. But I have found it's an amazing tool for my cleaning kit. I use this little wizard brush for whisking away hair off chair cushions, the pool table, bedding tops, and carpet going the upstairs. Great product. djmc
This brush is perfect for my Oliver. Gets through his hair with ease and does not hurt. Perfect brush. Best one in 55 years of loving fur babies.
We bought this brush for our 4 month old kitten. She has long hair with a fluffy tail & fuzzy belly and this brush works really well. She enjoys when we brush her with it.. it seems to be both soft & sturdy making it stand up well to brushing the long fur while still being gentle on our sweet baby.
I was pleasantly surprised by this little brush! My cats are large, with short to medium length hair. This little brush does just the trick of a quick grooming and it removes a ton of hair. Easy to get all around the head, underneath the stomach, and I can do it while they are walking which makes it go even faster.
