I dont like the new style holders, you need to go back to older style without clasp , just spring. I am still using my old ones. All the new ones are breaking. They suck.
Ordered this along with a lixit 8oz bottle, and it is just plain too small. The bottle didn't fit and I can't bend it to make it fit either. Too bad.
This bottle holder doesn't hold either of my glass bottles that it was said to fit. I had to add a bungee so the bottle would stay on. Because there are sharp edges and TONS of pinch points, an agile rodent like a rat or mouse can get caught if they climb it. When my mouse didn't come out for breakfast for our morning routine I went looking for him in the tank. There was a lot of blood under the bottle and under him in his house. Upon exam I found that he had gotten hung up on the bottle holder and had basically been gutted in his attempt to free himself. I lost him within the hour. Water bottle holders for glass tanks are scarce, but don't use this one. I've hot glued velcro to the side of the tank and hot glued and rubber banded velcro to the bottle. It looks kind of ugly but its significantly safer.
Fit their water bottle perfectly and fit the cage perfectly as well.
Be careful when handling this as I’ve cut my fingers a couple times on the edges, makes me worried to use it in cages. Also when you clean it if you use vinegar and water it smells super weird like it’s corroding or something.
This fits my 2 piggies 6x2 C&C cage perfectly. It was a struggle finding a solution, thank you chewy!
I love these water bottle holders. My only complaint is that the spring holding the bottle in place will come off one side but it is easily fixed with needle nose pliers.
This is perfect for those times you might need to transfer rabbits in a large plastic tub. It fits just over the side and keeps the bottle secure. And, I don't have to worry about the rabbits getting enough water.
We have made a plastic tub (with a mesh top) into a hamster habitat, and this bottle has the right kind of bendable metal strip that can be bent over the top edge of the tub to hold the bottle. You can adjust it so that it low enough for the animal to reach. It would also work in a fish tank-type habitat.
need 16 oz. size for aquariums with no cheap stretchy fall over springs! Used to be strong horseshoe shaped wire that held it upright! springs stink! Must have metal backstrap to hang inside tank! Had over 300 of these years ago and was guinea pig judge! Can somebody find or make these again? Pigs are strong and wreck all the others! Oasis, where are you??
