I read this doesn't work well with SMALL pills. I am looking for something to dispense "Capstar" to 2 Feline 14 Year Old GROUCHY Sisters who just will not eat it in anything I've tried thus far. Anyone tried it with Capstar? Thanks for your help!!! {=^:^=}

The Pill Popper has a flexible tip that is made to hold various pill sizes so you only need one.

I’m giving my cat 5 mg of foloxitine will this hold that size pill? You say it’s adjustable how so?

This pill popper has a flexible tip made to hold various pill sizes so you only need one.

I know to hand wash the pill popper but how do you take it apart to wash out the residue from the liquid used when giving the pill? Thanks.
Answer by ChewyJul 07, 2018
To clean the inside of the pill popper, you can fill the tube with warm water as you would get ready to use and squirt the water out. Repeat this until the tube is free of residue.

Can this pill popper be taken apart to wash it? If so, how? Thanks!

Doesn’t work well

The Pill Popper doesn’t always work. About 40% of the times I’ve used it (I have two cats on Thyroid meds so they both get a pill 2 times a day). We all know how cats (and their humans) dislike this pill down the throat deal. I like the small size as my hands are small, that’s the reason I bought these (I bought two). Beyond the smaller size, that’s the only thing I like.

Completely Useless

Wish I had read the reviews before I added this to my order. After nearly 35 years in veterinary medicine I have never seen anything quite as useless as this pill gun. Even giving a small pill to a small cat is impossible as the flimsy piece of plastic that is supposed to push the pill out just bends and goes past the pill.

Doesn't work at all

so I put the pill in tried testing it first..Thought I was imagining that the pill was in wrong or didn't fit it well.. NOPE. It's just a worthless item. If you slam it the pill barely pops out.

useless for large capsules

I really needed a way to administer antibiotic capsules to my dog. All other methods have failed, marshmallows, canned food, cheese, etc. Due to neuropathy in my hands I can no longer just shove them down her throat. Got this pill popper today and was more than disappointed when the tip was too small for the antibiotics.
