Tropical Freshwater, Betta, Cichlid, Goldfish, Marine Fish
The air pump should be installed by following either of the two recommended methods:
Place the air pump on a surface lower than the water level of the aquarium. To avoid damage from accidentally spilled water, do not place the air pump directly below the aquarium. Important: It is highly recommended to always use a Check Valve (sold separately) in the airline between the air pump and the aquarium. The Check Valve will help prevent water from siphoning out of the aquarium through the air hose and into the pump in the event of a power failure, or when removing filters and other air-driven accessories from the aquarium.
Place the air pump on a surface higher than the water level, such as a shelf. The surface should be at least 12 inches (30 cm) higher than the water level of the aquarium, but not be positioned directly above the aquarium. The surface should have a raised edge to prevent the air pump from sliding off. Use a Check Valve (sold separately) in the airline between the air pump and the aquarium to prevent back-siphoning.
I bought the Marina 100 for my 29 gallon tank to replace a loud air pump that was driving me nuts. This little pump is pretty quiet, and provides a nice air bubble output. My fancy guppies enjoy swimming against the gentle current.

After trying to find a replacement for a more expensive pump that only lasted a short time..I should know better. Just find it on Chewy!
So Incredibly Noisy!!

I ordered the 300 and expected it to be quiet, as the 75 was decently quiet. NOPE! The hum is almost like listening to TV static on blast... I will be looking for a replacement ASAP!If the noise doesn't bother you, the pump does do what it is made to do where other pumps have failed (whisper 60), or maybe that one was just a lemon? I can't play with my fish children's lives by testing these one by one!
Tiny but strong

Not totally quiet but does great job, if you wrap it in towel reduces noise.

It’s noisy as soon as you turn it on but when I hooked the tube up to the air pump it got quiet. This is the first time that I’ve used one of these but I’m overall happy with it.
Noisy , why does the box say its quiet with a noise reducing cover ?
