Great filter pump for 20 gallon tank

By Awesomeness on Aug 4, 2021

I was having a hard time with cloudy water in my 20 gallon high. Tank. I did several water changes and vacuumed my tank. Everything I tried did not work. I did research on filter pumps and found this marina pump. I watched a few videos and looked at the reviews. I am happy I trusted the reviews. This pump is fantastic. It cleared my cloudy water in about 4 hours. I like that this pump has 4 compartments to add your own media. I used a sponge, filter floss, bio balls and a filter pad. Now my water is clear. And my fish are happy. The only thing that I would recommend that they improve is to make the intake tube be a little longer for high tanks.

Not too much flow (which is great for a betta!)

    By hannahjking2003 on Jul 27, 2021

After several long months of convincing my sister to spend an ounce of money and effort on her fish, she finally agreed. She keeps a single betta in a 10 gallon, which is an excellent tank size. However, things go downhill from there. She refuses to get a filter and a heater, and often doesn't feed her fish for long periods of time. I can't stand seeing that fish treated the way it is. I've begged her to at least get a filter if she's not going to clean the tank. FINALLY, FINALLY she agreed. It's not that she doesn't have the money (she effortlessly spent 30 dollars on makeup yesterday); rather, she simply doesn't care about it. Thank the Lord they made this filter so cheap or else she wouldn't After several long months of convincing my sister to spend an ounce of money and effort on her fish, she finally agreed. Thank the Lord they made this filter so cheap or else she wouldn't have bought it. Now, we've assembled the filter, and the betta is doing great:) The water has already cleared up a lot. I especially love the amount of current it creates, and the fact that you can turn it down/up. I don't think 11 dollars could have been spent any better! … more

    Difficult to Impossible

By Marecat on Aug 6, 2021

I have tried twice now, painstakingly, to put these parts together, after rinsing everything except the motor and cord, and following step by step directions. Some of the parts having to do with the tube just do not fit together. I bought this because it looked like it would be so much better than the one I have in my 10 gallon tank but I just wasted money and it can’t be used.

    The best filter out there

By filter on Jul 23, 2021

It's quiet... it filters extremely well... it's sleek... it looks good... I wish I found this product earlier. Amazing for my 10-gallon super planted betta tank. I love it so much! I love that I can see inside the filter and see the bubbles moving around.

    So far works well

By Angela on May 11, 2021

Received today and installed; it has a great flow and is finally creating a current to all areas of my 6 gallon aquarium. Much better in flow than my previous one that just burned out a couple days ago. Really like the slim design and the ease of placing different media in it. Very quiet but not silent (no filter is). We’ll see how well it does long term. Have it on full flow right now so not sure how it sounds with reduced flow.

Seems to work good but very little room for media

By nakita on May 10, 2021

I tend to load extra media in my filters and don't use carbon but this barley had room for filter floss thats the only reason I gave it low stars would be awesome if it had a half inch more room to actually fit a floss pad in to help polish the water of smaller particles that are missed by main filter media

    Simplicity Itself

By SacoAl on Apr 9, 2021

The tank is a thin rectangle with side-by-side grooves for up to four of their aftermarket filter media and the return tube on the right. The motor is submersed under the water which hasn't been a problem so far but it does sorta mean that you have to unplug and take the whole unit to a sink to clean; I'm still learning. The better news is that you can just open the top cover and pull out the filter media and wash or replace it while keeping the unit plugged in. I've also found the filter to be very quiet even in a small, quiet office.

I love the internal pump but hang on back style design. Comes with a course foam pre filter! Very simple but effective filter for your small tanks!

    Marina S10

    By old409 on Jul 4, 2021

These are really good filters for my 10 gals. tanks. Quiet and they seem to move a lot of water for their size.

great filter for a great price

By nano on Apr 13, 2021

I bought this filter for a 6g rimless tank for my betta. All I have to say is for the price. I’m totally impressed. My water is crystal clear and the flow isn’t too much for my betta to handle. It’s also super quiet. Will be buying more of these for my nano tanks 10/10.
