Best filter I’ve ever purchased by far
This filter was super easy to setup and it runs amazing. It also comes with some little controls to lower the water pressure or raise it which is neat. Im upgrading from a 20 gallon whisper filter that was actually really loud at times and this one seems to be a lot more quiet and efficient for my tank. The whole setup is great and I can already tell it’s going to be super easy to clean and replace the cartridges. So far I’ve used tetra filter and a few marineland filter, but I’d highly recommend this filter to anyone in the market. I even accidentally purchased the 15 gallon filter on accident and it’s cleaning my tank effortlessly. Idk how anyone is giving anything less than 5 stars… A++ rating easy
Great budget filter!
This is a great filter and so quiet! It's got a really strong flow and I like that I can adjust it. I picked it up for some extra particulate removal because my sponge filter doesn't get as much as I'd like. I've had no issues with it whatsoever. This is on my 29 gallon planted tank that's heavily stocked.
I'm very happy with this product
I got this about 7 months ago and it's still working great I haven't had a problem with it I would definitely get again and it's very quiet which is a plus it keeps my water clean and isn't overly powerful so ot doesn't throw my fish around its a good product
I love these filters. The water is crystal clear an hour after I set it up. I was struggling with my 20g, every filter i bought had a different issue and I was about to give up on fish keeping until I bought these. They are really quiet and work wonderfully. I love being able to set the flow, since my Betta likes calm waters.
This filter is much better than the one that came with my 10 gallon tank.
Dead in three months
I loved this hob...while it worked. Even with meticulous maintenance the motor burned out after three months. I had just stocked up on filters too! I'll stick with a sponge filter I guess.
I love the slim fit. Adjustable water flow is nice. The pre filter is perfect for those with fry or shrimp. Compartments for filter media, or the slot in cartridge. I use 1 cartridge, one bag of ceramic balls, and purigen.
Great filter pump for 20 gallon tank
I was having a hard time with cloudy water in my 20 gallon high. Tank. I did several water changes and vacuumed my tank. Everything I tried did not work. I did research on filter pumps and found this marina pump. I watched a few videos and looked at the reviews. I am happy I trusted the reviews. This pump is fantastic. It cleared my cloudy water in about 4 hours. I like that this pump has 4 compartments to add your own media. I used a sponge, filter floss, bio balls and a filter pad. Now my water is clear. And my fish are happy. The only thing that I would recommend that they improve is to make the intake tube be a little longer for high tanks.
Not too much flow (which is great for a betta!)
After several long months of convincing my sister to spend an ounce of money and effort on her fish, she finally agreed. She keeps a single betta in a 10 gallon, which is an excellent tank size. However, things go downhill from there. She refuses to get a filter and a heater, and often doesn't feed her fish for long periods of time. I can't stand seeing that fish treated the way it is. I've begged her to at least get a filter if she's not going to clean the tank. FINALLY, FINALLY she agreed. It's not that she doesn't have the money (she effortlessly spent 30 dollars on makeup yesterday); rather, she simply doesn't care about it. Thank the Lord they made this filter so cheap or else she wouldn't have bought it. Now, we've assembled the filter, and the betta is doing great:) The water has already cleared up a lot. I especially love the amount of current it creates, and the fact that you can turn it down/up. I don't think 11 dollars could have been spent any better!
Difficult to Impossible
I have tried twice now, painstakingly, to put these parts together, after rinsing everything except the motor and cord, and following step by step directions. Some of the parts having to do with the tube just do not fit together. I bought this because it looked like it would be so much better than the one I have in my 10 gallon tank but I just wasted money and it can’t be used.
