The ceramic rings never have to be replaced unless they become damaged.
How many boxes of 140 count rings do I need to purchase to fill the emperor pro 450 basket 2/3 full?

These rings are pretty large, so it would not take more than approximately 10 or so of them to fill the Emperor Pro basket. One box is way more than enough.
How many containers/boxes would be required to fill a Emperor Pro 400 2/3 full?

The media basket for this filter will not need a full box of these rings. They have not been counted, but it would probably only take about 20 of them or less than a quarter of a box.
