Cat was barfing w/increasing frequency, especially in the mornings; it got to like every other day. He has kidney problems, was losing appetite, and losing weight. He's very spicy- doesn't take pills well. Initially tried pepcid for his nausea and he grew suspicious when he bit into a pill pocket the wrong way. Even drilled holes in temptation treats to try to hide pills but once he found a pill he lost interest in that brand of treat. His love of churu tubes keeps him distracted long enough to apply this maropitant to his ear. I don't want to jinx it but he hasn't barfed since starting this medication. He's gaining weight. The only downside is I've noticed a little redness in his ears even tho I switch ears and wipe them out every night.

My cat was prescribed Cerenia off label to treat bronchial inflammation. She's newly rescued off the streets and doesn't tolerate liquid or pills at all. We usually end up wasting a ton of medication or she gets less than the needed dose. I was dreading having to give her daily medication and went looking for alternatives. I'm so glad Chewy had a transdermal option! Ordering through Chewy is so much more accessible than working with compounding pharmacies, which I have done in the past. Cost is extremely reasonable as well. In fact, at the time of ordering, the per dose cost using transdermal was slightly less than daily pill cost. Either way, the peace of mind and less stress on my kitty is so worth it. The formulation itself is absorbed quickly into the ears. I don't notice any greasy residue which was one of my initial concerns. No odor either. It takes just a few seconds to apply and a quick bribe with some treats afterwards makes it a much more positive experience than any other bitter liquid or pill medication.

So easy

This stuff is great. Easy to apply and easier in my Boo. Giving him pills was so heartbreaking.. forcing him to take them and the foaming from the pills not disolving.

Would have given 5 stars except the medication tube has no directions on it.

It would be very helpful to put how many clicks needed for proper dosing on the medication itself so that anyone caring for Molly would know the proper dose.

Awesome alternative to giving cat a pill.

It worked as well as the pill form but didn't cause any of the trauma that wrestling a cat to give them a pill can cause. She wasn't crazy about it but it worked

It worked as well as the pill form but didn't cause any of the trauma that wrestling a cat to give them a pill can cause. She wasn't crazy about it but it worked right away and kept her from being sick. It helped her immensely in her last months of life.
