My daughter has a herd of 9 pigs, this is the best food for the money.

brown pellets
I was trying to switch from oxbow to mazuri based on vet recommendation. The pellets are brown not green, as I expected a little green since they are hay based. They smell like dog food and are not appealing at all. My 3 guinea pigs won’t go near the bowls. Did I get a bad, stale bag?
The Pigs do not care for these
We were searching for an alternative pellet, having looked at the options and brands and comparing ingredients we purchased a large bag as the reviews were mostly very positive. Unfortunately our little herd of piggies do not like this brand, their bowls stay full or they will flip them to show their disapproval. I see based on the reviews others pets like this brand but it didn’t work for our guys.
Mazuri vs oxbow
Just started mazuri. I had been feeding oxbow but due to increase in price I had to find something else. My piggies really seem to be enjoying mazuri food.

Yes I’m happy with my Guinea pig feed!! But we have got to talk about something way more awesome than that!! And that is Chewy’s amazing customer service!! Holy smokes man I ordered this stuff Thursday night and had it delivered to my door Saturday afternoon!! Not a big deal you say?? Please bear in mind I’m not a city dweller I live out in the rural sticks!! Thank you Chewy for being awesome!
Mazuri is Best Feed and Best Price
I am a SKINNY (Hairless Exotic) Guinea Pig breeder and my herd loves Mazuri pellets. These piggies are expensive costing from $125 to $325 and I have never lost a pig on this feed. They go on ground transport across the USA and need to be healthy and hefty to handle transport stress since they are the smallest variety of guinea pigs. With autoship it's cheaper and less work to have it delivered. I appreciate Chewys delivery instead of having to run out to get it, haul it from the car into the caviary and risk it being out of stock with the supply chain issues from the pandemic. I recommend it to all my buyers.
Get Oxbow instead.
Mazuri has whey which guinea pigs can't digest since they're lactose intolerant.
