Very dissapointed
By Karen on Oct 9, 2020
One of my cats has a severe grain allergy and after she developed symptoms, I sent the food out to a lab in my state and it tested positive for wheat contamination. So much for limited ingredients

Food Good, Cans bad
By Mare on Dec 19, 2019
Got this for my cat with IBD and it seems to be tolerated much better by her than regular wet food. She loves the food, however, had problems with the 5.5 oz cans being extremely dented when received. Took 3 returns and requests for inspection of cans before sending before resolved. The smaller 2.75 oz cans don't have the same issue. Customer service at Chewy was wonderful with responding to my problem with the larger cans, hope I don't have the same issue next time.

Merrick food quality not the same anymore.
By Simba on Feb 14, 2020
The small cans are not the same as the large. It smells better my cat only eats if it’s a big can. So in a nut shell, the new Merrick products are not the same as the old Merrick.

Finally another protein for Buddy!
By Mabel7 on Nov 1, 2019
We adopted Buddy this past February and the only wet food he would eat was fish. Even then, there were only a few varieties of that he would eat and keep down. I wanted him to eat a wet food, but didn't want it to be fish for any length of time so we decided to try this one. I had picked up a large can at the local pet store to test it and while he ate the first serving, he would not eat the "leftover" one. I ordered the smaller cans and now he loves having a fresh can for each meal. He is doing quite well with it too so that makes it a winner for our Buddy! We are all happy now.

this is a favorite
By Jilma on Nov 1, 2019 Top 250 Contributor
I try to rotate foods so that the boys don't get bored. Right after I adopted Castiel and Crowley, i tried this. My old kitty had loved it, but Crowley did not. However fast forward 12 months later, I tried it again and he LOVES it. He is my problem child. The others also love it, but now that Crowley is on board, it will be brought back in rotation. Such a great quality food WITHOUT chicken. I have always been a fan, but glad he has joined the team.

By Ziva on Aug 17, 2019
Trying to change our 14 year old Peaches to a better cat food. We tried all flavors of Merrick canned and also dry food. She would not eat it. We also tried others and same reaction..until we tried Nutro perfect portions Grain Free cuts in Gravy .Peaches loves every flavor . Just ordered Nutro dry food from Chewy and hopefully she will like this also .

Kitty licking good
By Kimbo7779 on Aug 3, 2019
I have an aging cat (15) who has not had any vet care due to her antisocial nature. That said, I feel the best I can do by her is to feed her the cleanest food I can. She was on raw food which she tolerated well for months, then did not, so tried this food. She LIKES it. And I like her to like her food.

Quality has dropped
By NOPE on Aug 14, 2019
My cat used to love this but every now and then I get a can where there is a green substance on top (Merrick states it's the vitamin & alfalfa not properly mixed in). Now, my cat refuses to eat it and I can't say I blame her. Won't buy anymore.

No Complaints
By RobbyJ on Jul 22, 2019
I've been looking for food without fish or chicken as my cat has food sensitivities. Things were not going well with another brand so I tried this. I can't say she's crazy about it, but she always eventually finishes off her food. Much less itching and scratching than the other brand.
