I like the ingredients and my cats like the taste. I would have given it 5 stars except that the cans are often not completely full. I've weighed the contents and found that they are sometimes a full half ounce short of the 5.5 ounces on the label. I'll be writing to Merrick about this.

The good ingredients

I thought it seemed like good quality food, but Pinkerton won’t eat it. My mother-in-law’s cats will eat it, as will my neighbor’s cat, but mine won’t touch it.

Salmon, 1st try = 5 of 5 cats like it.

I bought a few cans for them to try it, and they each ate half of a 3oz can in one sitting. 2 of our cats are geriatric and very finicky, so I hope their approval

My cat seems like this flavor but as he eats it a couple of swallows and he throws up. He eats the Tuna and all seems well. I did give him the salmon a couple of times and same results of throwing up, I don't feel Chewy is responsible in any way! It is the manufacturer of this product! Merrick was a favorite of mine til now. seems like profits have become more important than a safe healthy product for cats!

This is the only wet food Toby will eat. .

Toby is a very picky eater & only likes tuna or salmon in a very smooth pate. No chunks for this boy.

He Liked It

This is a good quality food. My cat liked it. The consistency is a bit grainy for a pate. I prefer the creamy pate which make better 'soup' as I add a little water

This is a good quality food. My cat liked it. The consistency is a bit grainy for a pate. I prefer the creamy pate which make better 'soup' as I add a little water and Goats Milk powder to his food sometimes. The ingredients are quality, good. The only drawback that doesn't earn a higher than "average/3 stars" is because Chicken and Chicken broth are used. I suspect but haven't established a confirmed belief that my cat might experience allergic reaction to chicken. I recommend this food to cats that do not have allergic reaction to chicken, because it's a good quality and it DOES NOT USE RED DYE 3 which is a superb indication that the ingredients are focused on the overall health of your cat.
