MiconaHex+Triz is for use on dogs, cats, and horses.  Available as shampoo, spray conditioner, wipes, and mousse, it’s antimicrobial, antifungal, antibiofilm, and moisturizing. Indicated for conditions responsive to miconazole and/or chlorhexidine.

Is the spray the same as the mousse? Mousse is what the vet gave us.

The spray, mousse, and wipes all have the same function base function, but with slight difference to cater to pet needs. For instance, MiconaHex + Triz Mousse is an easy to use formula that does not require rinsing and includes moisturizers to calm irritated skin.

CLOGGED SPRAY BOTTLE!

ReadMe. It works well to control my Doberman's allergy, that is if you can get it out of the spray bottle. Shaking it doesn't help. Because the bottle has a tamper proof spray head cap it is darn near impossible to unscrew the top to decant the contents into a functional spray bottle. Get out the channel locks to wrestle it loose. And, "Yes", you will need to buy a new spray bottle, a clear one is best. So add that to the cost of the medicine. Apparently the bottler is oblivious to the chronic nature of this failing considering how many people have made a public complaint about this inconvenience. Don't listen to us regular customers, they don't need OUR patronage. They might wake up if we buy the same chemical from a competitor.

The medicine itself has worked wonders for my dogs skin flares up for years. Unfortunately the solution granulizes and blocks the sprayer. The top also doesn’t come off so every month I have to use pliers to rip the bottle open. Then I rub the liquid on my dog’s belly. I’ve tried buying other larger nozzles but those get blocked too. Not ideal.

Just a conditioning spray

I’m not sure that the ‘medicated’ part of this actually does anything, same as the shampoo. The flush (same label, brand) *does* work. But the shampoo and this conditioner

nozzle won’t work

This would be my 3rd time having this problem with this product. The first 2 I purchased worked fine but the last couple i’ve bought have had nozzles that just don’t work. I called chewy and they helped me out by sending a new on free thinking it was just a one time defect but I just got my new one that they shipped to me for free and the nozzle STILL doesn’t work. it isn’t even a nozzle that I can just switch from my old one to the new one. the thing is sealed shut and taking it off breaks it and it is unusable. I am now having to find other ways to apply this to my dog because he has a chronic skin condition and needs this daily.

16oz bottle MiconaHex Triz spray

Have 5 animals with ringworm in my house and go through large amounts of this spray. I bought the larger bottles to save a bit of money . Arrived promptly with Chewys

Have 5 animals with ringworm in my house and go through large amounts of this spray. I bought the larger bottles to save a bit of money . Arrived promptly with Chewys fast delivery. Opened bottle and the trigger would not even move. Opened 2nd bottle and trigger functioned but nothing came out. Shook both bottles well as per instructions. Called Chewy and they immediately reordered for me. Fantastic service Got mad and cut open bottle with garden shears and found crystallized sheets of product- see photos. No wonder these sprayer don’t work. I emptied the liquid contents into another spray bottle and it instantly clogged. Even smaller particles of crystalline products found in liquid. Could not dissolve any of it with shaking. Suspect shelf life of product is much less than printed on the bottle. So far have never had problems with smaller 8oz bottle. Dechra needs to resolve this problem.

Clogs the sprayer.

There are a lot of reviews complaining that the spray bottle is defective, but it is the liquid that is actually making the bottle not work. I had the same issue

There are a lot of reviews complaining that the spray bottle is defective, but it is the liquid that is actually making the bottle not work. I had the same issue with the sprayer not working after a few uses so I transferred the liquid into another spray bottle and the same issue happened. Hopefully the company will fix this as I did not have issue a few years ago when I purchased this product. The product itself does help my pup with yeasty paws when I am able to actually apply it to him.

Dechra 16 Oz spray bottle

I bought this product after going through two of the small 8 Oz bottles on my horse with rain rot all over his body. The 8 Oz bottles worked great and I had no issues

I bought this product after going through two of the small 8 Oz bottles on my horse with rain rot all over his body. The 8 Oz bottles worked great and I had no issues with either. This bottle I tried spraying it and it sprayed once before the spray function would not let me spray it. The spray mechanism completely stopped working. I thought I had a defective bottle. I tried unscrewing the top but realized it was not going to unscrew after attempting to do so for an hour. Eventually I got so mad I broke the spray top off of it. I'm upset bc it was essentially a waste of money, if you can manage to get the top off you can prob transfer it to a new spray bottle but for the cost its ridiculous. The product itself is great, container not so much... needs fixed asap.

This is my fourth bottle of this medicated conditioner in 3 years, and every one was defective. The product separates and creates a grainy crust at the bottom of the un-openable squirt bottle. When shaken the grainy crust breaks up just enough to clog the sprayer rendering it permanently unusable. To actually use the product you need to cut open the squirt bottle and transfer it to another container and hope that the left behind crust isn’t the medicine you’re paying for.
