Is the spray the same as the mousse? Mousse is what the vet gave us.
Answer by ChewyFeb 10, 2019
The spray, mousse, and wipes all have the same function base function, but with slight difference to cater to pet needs. For instance, MiconaHex + Triz Mousse is an easy to use formula that does not require rinsing and includes moisturizers to calm irritated skin.

For pink itchy feet

I am applying this spray between baths with the shampoo for cocker spaniel recovering from bad persistent yeast infection. Mostly now just feet itching, dog chewing until pink. This seems to bring relief after one application for days. I find no stickiness nor bad odor...do not understand those reviews. Do they shake bottle as directed? Dog hides of course for she hates wet feet but worth it to help end her troubles. Lots of treats for her patience.

MiconaHex+Triz Spray for Dogs and Cats 16 oz

I just received this order and I'm disappointed that the expiration date is only good for ONE year. I'm guessing I was shipped a bottle that's been sitting on the shelf for a long time, or product isn't being rotated. I'll never use this up that fast.

Sticky but effective

I wouldn't put this all over my dog again. I wash him with Dechra twice a week for allergies. That works wonderfully but I thought I would try this to reduce bathing to 1 time a week. We have used the pads before for his wrinkles. It definitely leaves a yucky feeling residue for a couple days. In theory it could work between baths but I would rather he has a nice feeling coat. However, I believe in this product and have seen how much of a difference it can make. I plan to use this on cotton pads to clean his wrinkles 2x a week as well as any hot spots that might come up. That's what the vet gave us the last time he scratched himself raw so I know it works wonders. I wish it didn't leave a tacky residue on the fur so I could use it comfortably between baths but it's not a total loss for us.

This was a success!

My dog had a stubborn yeast infection on one of his paws and nothing seemed to be working. Finally vet suggested this and the infection is now on its way out. Easy to apply and definitely worth trying.

MiconaHex+Triz Spray for Dogs & Cats

I have three dogs and two of them have skin issues. They are on apoquel but sometimes still have hot spots. That is when I use this spray and it works. It calms the hot spots. I recommend this product.

Spray for Dog's Coat

We've used this product numerous times in the past and always been pleased. Unfortunately, we lost our fur baby shortly after ordering. Product given to local SPCA

Worked in a few days!

Maya is an active 1.5 year old dog and she has webbed toes. She developed a mild but persistent irritation in her paws. Our vet didn’t give us a diagnosis other than allergies. She continued to lick her foot, it was red and irritated in between the pads and it started to spread to the other paws. I did my own research in an attempt to solve the problem which is how I found the MiconaHex spray. The spray bottle is a little messy but it started working in a few days! Hallelujah. The spots on her feet dried up and are returning to their normal healthy pink color. So grateful we found something that worked finally.

Such a great product!

This shampoo and spray helped my dog so very much during a horrendous allergy episode that turned her usual itchy red spots into flaky, painful scabs with swelling due to becoming infected. I felt so sad for my dog! Now I shampoo with this twice a week, being sure to wait TEN minutes before rinsing. Whereas I did end up needing to get an antibiotic, using this product reduced the flare up, healed the sores, decreased itching, and reduced swelling in her paws. Now that things are under control I see this shampoo being a resource to minimize allergic episodes so they don’t get to that place. I use the spray only during a flare up or on a spot - it is thick and it doesn’t feel or smell the best - but keep in mind this isn’t for you, it’s for your dog! It really helps heal the rashes, reduces odor, itching & swelling, and dries sores. When you tire of back and forth trips to the vet for allergies and see your dog suffering, this product hails from above and is amazing! I highly recommend! Her coat is so smooth and shiny now and her skin is so much better.

A sticky mess

This spray may be good for horses or short haired dogs, but for my short hair cats it was a disaster. Their fur was so sticky and just gross feeling that I had to wipe them down with wet cloths for multiple days to remove the sticky waxy coat.
