How long does the UV Light need to be turned off to allow for the Bacteria to get dispersed?

The formula activates once added to your water so there is no need for pre-mixing or complicated preparations. For best results in your pond, you should maintain a balanced pH. Unlike other products in the marketplace today, Microbe-Lift PL will still be effective even if your p H is high or low. Microbe-Lift PL will be effective in any or all of the following conditions: with light or without light, with air or without air, low to high acidity, or low to high alkalinity. Microbe-Lift PL is a natural bacteria pond clarifier, grown with nirobacter bacterium. Microbe- Lift PL works alone. There is no need to purchase other products to achieve results on the side panel of this product.
How long is Microbe-Lift good. I have some from last summer. It was in a heated garage (40 degrees) all winter.

If left unopened, this product has a shelf life of about 2 years when kept in temperatures between 40 degrees and 105 degrees. After opening, this product will be good for about 1 year.
Can I use this for an aviary bird bath that they also drink out of?

The 1-gallon bottle treats a 5,000 gallon pond for 21 months. The 32-ounce bottle treats 500 gallon pond for 11 months, or 1,000 gallon pond for 8 months. The 16-ounce bottle treats 80 gallon pond for 11 months, or 200 gallon pond for 8 months.
