Not as thick as the pictures indicate
I thought this would have a good amount of cushioning based off of the photos. This bed is very thin, my dogs are effectively lying on the floor when they use this. I bought this bed when it was discounted - I don't think it's worth the full price.
Size down for plastic kennels!
I had bought this bed thinking the 24-in would fit in my cats' 24-in plastic kennel (should have measured, I know...), but it was way too big. It actually worked out, though, because when I needed to take just my one special-needs cat, wedging it in the bottom of the kennel makes a perfect nesting spot to keep him warm. He loves sleeping in the kennel (when he can get there before his littermate). I take the mat out when I need to take both him and his sister somewhere together, and bought a new 18-in Frisco mat that's pretty much identical to these that fits perfectly with room for both of them. I've washed this one a few times and it's held up great, just takes a while to line dry. It's pretty thin fabric so it wouldn't be good for dogs who dig into their bedding or try to destroy them, but it's a perfect mat for cats or non-destructive dogs.
looks great but not very durable
Placed the order and received it pretty quickly. Arrived today and it was pretty and plush and comfy. For whatever reason, my dog decided to freak out in his crate and tear up his beautiful new mat. First time ever. Just be aware that it’s obviously not very durable. I’m going to see if I can somehow stitch it back up tomorrow.
My senior dog loves his new crate pad
I've noticed my almost 11yo husky-lab mix has been a little stiff in his joints lately and his current crate pad had gotten worn down. I knew he deserved a new pad for his crate and found this one. It's a perfect fit in his crate and he absolutely loved it from first sniff. He chooses to spend a lot more nap time in his crate now and seems to be a lot more comfortable. The crate pad is well-made.
super soft
We don't have our puppy yet, but we bought this crate mat to go with the crate. It's Suuuuuuuper soft & well made.
Soft and comfy
Our 17 pound dog lies on it every evening when we’re on the couch and winding down for the day.
Great for the price
I have older-ish dog who sometimes forgets to "go" outside. I wanted comfy beds, that are easy to wash. These are perfect! I bought some washable "puppy training mats" to put on the floor in front of their beds... and a swiffer mop. Very pleased with the new setup!
Bed n crate
Awesome products , I am very pleased with both , came exactly how it appeared on the website , I read some reviews and was a little reluctant BUT I am so glad that I went ahead and took a chance ,my pups and I love it
Comfy bed for my crate
I'm a 9 year old puppy who just like to doze in my crate sometimes so my mom wanted to get me a more comfy bed for when I want to hang out there. As soon as mom put this bed in my crate, I went right in and checked it out. I definitely approve!! I've been using it for a couple weeks now and it fits perfectly in my crate, hasn't gotten flat and is still comfy and looks new. I highly recommend this bed.
Destroyed
Not sure why this got the top rating from NY Times Wirecutter. Cover is not removable and bed takes forever to dry if you do need to clean up so essentially unwashable. If your dog is a chewer or destroyer of plush toys, the tufted fabric on the top is just begging to be shredded, while the flimsy fabric on the bottom didn't survive 24 hours before the whole bed was ripped apart. Hard Pass.
