Millers Forge Nail Clipper with Safety Stop

I have bought a few of these over the years. They do have a lifetime warranty so for the ones that have gotten dull after many years of regular use, I could send it in and they would sharpen it or send a new one but it would cost more to send it in then just get a new one. They last a really long time (many years) before they get dull though. I have used them with great success on all size dogs (both my own and the dogs I foster for rescues) including my Great Danes, small pit bull mixes, Dogue de Bordeau/mastiff mix, my 75lb rescue mix and my Labrador retrievers, including my Labrador puppy's nails! The only thing that annoys me is the "safety stop" which I never use and sometimes flops down in the way when I am trying to quickly do their nails but it is just a minor inconvenience and not worth taking a star away (wish they'd have an option without one!). I've tried so many others over the years but now only purchase this one as it works for all kinds of dog nails from thick to thin to delicate puppy nails without too much pressure to make a dog uncomfortable or nervous and the cut is clean and quick. It is also easy to handle, not bulky at all and like some clippers are. THE best!

Decent quality with very good chip. Two minor issues: first the handle sheath slips off; second the metal guard tend to move very easily allowing for too deep of a clip. The guard is a great feature but tends to slip and works well when it stays in place. The overall quality of clip very good.

My vet always trimmed my dogs nails 1st thing every visit. Then he retired and mow unless I ask they don't do it and I forget to ask, getting older. I was truly afraid to do it myself. I got these and there is a little guard "stop" that you put the end of the claw up to and snip! It really works! All 4 paws no problem!!!
