does this work? my dog is prone to bladder stones and has had 2 surgery's. she hates the urinary prescription food.
Answer by ChewySep 30, 2020
This supplement is formulated to help break down and eliminate all types of stones including liver, kidney, bladder and gall stones, gravel, crystals, grains, and calculi.

Do I open capsule and sprinkle over food?
Answer by ChewySep 30, 2020
Administer the gelatin capsule orally.

Do you give this product once daily or twice daily?
Answer by ChewySep 27, 2021
Dosage will vary by pet weight. Please click on the attached photo to reference the dosage information.

Can I use this daily forever? Or is it meant for periodic use?
Answer by ChewyOct 28, 2021
This product is not formulated to be used forever. It is formulated to be two ways; short term to potentially help address immediate stone/crystal needs and in a longer potential, reparative term. An animal will use longer term, between 3-6 months, depending on the stone or crystal sizes and locations It is also suggested to add in a pet friendly probiotic to help offset the necessary microbial action that results from helping break down a foreign entity in the body. A probiotic may help keep native gut flora balanced and helped reduce the rare, but possible, loose stools some animals can experience. When long term use is required, there is generally an Endocrine System issue involved, and we also have a product for that in our The Petz Kitchen line, called Yellow Maca.

Gratefulness

Due to the extended impact of covid, the veterinarians we had worked with prior to covid either didn't survive covid, or have had to limit visits to established patients who are already being seen regularly. Our dogs only go in once every 2 years for wellness check and vaccines, plus renewal of heartworm meds. When our household got sick with covid, our 2 dogs got GI issues with us and we couldn't find a vet with an opening for an in person exam. Chewy more than delivered! Online support getting what was needed after we paid a vet service to run UA & fecal test. Order arrived in under 48 hours, and our 2 service dogs were feeling better in about 10 days. Thank you Chewy!!!!

Will take away but will work

My dog is 7 and for a few months she was so sick she had a uti and I found out she had stones the doctor said it would cost me 4,000 dollars to get her better but I didn't have the money so I did research and when I tell you my baby girl is eating she stopped bleeding when peeing this saved her life. She's been on it now for 3 months and i see big difference in her using the potty.

so far so good

Today after 2 weeks of giving this to my 7 yr old Shih Tzu, i saw stones on her wee wee pad! I am guessing this is good! Lily has had 2 surgeries for struvite stone removal, and cannot have her going through a 3rd , so i was desperate and looked into this. I rather give my dog natural remedies and keep her on a good diet, than try and put her through another surgery. So far, she is happy and has her energy back and is doing good! Hoping this works and we see an improvement when she goes for x-rays in 3 weeks!

Fingers crossed.

Even though it arrived 5 days late, I was so happy when it came to get Lilly started on it. So far I’ve seen a significant improvement in the frequency of her urinating. The blood in her urine is also improving. It’s very faint pink now. I take her back to the vet in three weeks and my fingers are crossed that this product has dissolved her bladder stones. I would highly recommend. Just be patient if your delivery is delayed as mine was in case you want to get started right away.

Too early to tell

I've given my dog some of the tablets as scheduled and I don't know yet. It is still early, but he seems more active. I suppose I'll have to get another x-ray to see if your product is right for him?

3 bottles purchased

It didn’t work for my dog. Surgery was yesterday. A waste of money and time and discomfort for my poor dog.

Break it up

Inexpensive and it seems to be working. Will definitely recommend it to anyone who has problems with urinary problems with their pets

As Far As I know

As far as l know it’s working. I give him one every morning with his prescribed Baytril. He doesn’t seem to be straining to pee as much nor has he been urinating blood anymore. I won’t know for sure the stones are dissolving until he is x-rayed again. He’s on a strict Canin Uninary SO diet as well. So hopefully all these measures taken together are doing the trick.
