No dust and way less mess

I wish we had switched to this sooner. The thin layer of dust that used to cover our room when using clay is completely gone. This also gets tracked out of the box

I wish we had switched to this sooner. The thin layer of dust that used to cover our room when using clay is completely gone. This also gets tracked out of the box way less (it doesn’t cling to our cat as much). The smell has remained low, and she’s also no longer breathing the dust, so it’s healthier (for all of us). Last thing: while more expensive per pound than clay, the bag lasts way longer - the clumps seem more efficiently targeted so we don’t need to refill the box as often.

When I opened the bag and put my hand in it, I could see that the pieces were much smaller than I thought they would be, and it left brown dust on my hand. The small pieces would make it easier to track, and with four cats I don’t want that. There was no odor at all to it, which I liked, but I didn’t use it because of the dust on my hand and the small pieces. I don’t want my cats to have to lick the dust off their paws, and that’s why we were looking for litter to use other than Cloud Control, which used to be good, but it seems like they changed it and it is now all dust.

The Good and the Bad

Since my kitty is now 15, he doesn't clean himself as well as he did before. His old cat litter was sticking to his backside, feet, and legs leaving him very uncomfortable. This litter was recommended to me from another owner of an elderly cat. The problem was solved BUT... This litter doesn't clump very well. Its difficult to pick up because it falls apart. I have found that by adding a biy of my old dusty but excellent clumping litter to the litter box it works so much better. I use an approximate 80/20 mixture. This clumps the litter for easier removal but it does not stick to my kitty.

This litter has been a waste of money for me, because my cats won't use it. I bought this litter because one of my cats has been diagnosed with asthma, and the vet said that litter dust contributes to his attacks. I like the way the litter clumps and it is much less dusty than the clay litter I used before. Unfortunately, one of my cats refuses to use the box with this litter. He has started pooping and spraying outside the litter box. I have tried mixing the litters, but that didn't help and just brought back all the litter dust, which defeated the purpose of the new litter. I ordered two bags, because I thought I would be permanently switching litters, but now I will be donating the unopened bag to a shelter and hope they can use it. Very disappointed.

Oh my goodness! This is absolutely the BEST LITTER EVER. My Church mom and her husband told me about it. I'd first bought it back in August of 2024, a 26 lb bag, and the site where I purchased is out of stock. I found this on Chewy and am so excited to get the litter that has been the best ever. AND I DO MEAN THIS. 1-26 lb bag lasted 2 months, maybe 2 1/2 months. Putting enough in the litter pan for my big kitty and scooping daily, stirring it around. Oh my gosh, it smells woodsy, so fresh, and clean. There's no cat smell left. None! I am totally a fan.

We've been using this litter for our 2 cats for going on 2 years. It really neutralizes both kinds of odors and clumps very very well. I read some complaints about staining of cats' feet, however both our cats have white feet and although there is dark dust on them immediately after being in the litter boxes, their feet are back to white again in half an hour or less. This litter is less dusty than clay litter, too. Hope it will always be available.

We love that this litter is made from natural material (walnut shells); it clumps for easy scooping, and all three of our cats transitioned to it from the shelter

It can be a little dusty, especially in the area surrounding the box, but we haven't used other litters so I don't know how it compares. Overall recommend!

The odor control of this litter is great, but that’s pretty much the only great thing about it. Problems I had with this litter: - It tracks far and wide. - It only appears to clump. The clumps completely fall apart into nothing when you try to scoop them. - The dark color makes it hard to spot poops and impossible to notice changes in urine to monitor pet health. -It’s hard to clean off the scoop and the litterbox.

Ive been using crystal litter for years until i realized how bad it is, but all the natural litters I’ve tried start stinking so quick if you’re not scooping every day. This one smells woodsy and covers the smell really well, at least until the litter needs to be completely replaced. Clumping is good, minimal dust. My new favorite, just wish it was available in more places!
