My cat uses this water dish. Water refreshed twice a day. I hear her lapping water from the dish usually after she eats. The rubber piece does easily come off the bottom, but that's no big deal. I like to leave it on though she has a rubberized feeding mat. I like the cheery pattern on the mostly white dish.

It’s a nice height for comfort for my 2 9 1/2 year Siberian Cats

Elevated food and water dishes save older cats from issues related to aging. Less vomiting and eating and drinking becomes much easier. But the water lines inside the bowl don’t really help for measuring the amount of liquid that a cat drinks especially if you have 2 cats using the same bowl. But I was just looking for a really nice non plastic water bowl that was elevated. This was perfect! Love it and so do they!
