If this collar fell off in the litterbox, can I wash it with soap and water without affecting the integrity of the product?

As soon as this collar is released from its package, than the pheromones will start spreading. This natural collar will effect some pets within the first hour, but cats should feel the effects the next day.

YOU HAVE TO GET IT ON FIRST!!!

While there are many calming collars with similar ingredients available, the choice depends mostly on price and practicality! None of my cats is used to a collar,

While there are many calming collars with similar ingredients available, the choice depends mostly on price and practicality! None of my cats is used to a collar, so getting it on them and making it stay on is the issue! This collar falls short of that, by having a sort of buckle that needs to be adjusted and then secured. That is not an ideal situation, when you are dealing with a reluctant cat! It works fine, once you get it on your kitty, but for my purpose, it won't work very well! There are better clasps available!

These are the exact same collars as the purple Sentry calming collars. They are in the same interior packaging, but are in box rather than a plastic "tin" (which is less wasteful). I have no idea which is the original, but I was hoping to try a different brand of collar because the Sentry didn't seem to work particularly well and they are SO fragrant. These are the exact same, down to the fragrance, which my cats squint at because it's so strong. These do seem to be cheaper than the Sentry, so if you like those, might as well get these instead. Just FYI.

Sprite is a pretty anxious guy and doesn't like being away from his dad much. He can also be quite territorial and is a bit of a bully to the other cats. We've tried

Sprite is a pretty anxious guy and doesn't like being away from his dad much. He can also be quite territorial and is a bit of a bully to the other cats. We've tried the Feliway diffuser before and didn't really notice a difference, but our vet recommended this product so we figured we'd try this before resorting to a daily med. We were was told that this collar would take at least a week to work, but holy cow...it's only day 2 and he's a different cat. We're keeping an eye on him because we don't want it to be sedating to him or anything, but the house is so eerily quiet now that he isn't yowling or getting into scuffles with the other cats. He's completely chilled out without being zonked. I really do believe he's more relaxed and happier. So if you have an anxious cat like we do, I highly recommend giving these collars a try. They don't work for every cat but they definitely work for Sprite.

Smells like a Port-a-potty fragrance

Yikes- thought the smell of this one wouldn't be too terrible, but it is offensive. Smells like a very cheap plug in fragrance, a scent that is trying to hide something

This items has helped our anxious tortie orphan calm down. She isn't as frightened of strangers, or loud sounds as she had been before. Her destructive/mischievous behaviors of decimating plants, biting, yowling, and scratching have greatly improved. She also enjoys hugs, cuddles, and nose-to-nose love with her humans; whereas before she didn't know what to do with huggy snuggles. She seems calmer, more content, and far less nervous.

Reliable calming for stressful situations

My veterinarian recommended this NurtureCalm collar, and I have used it several times when I've had work done on the outside of my house, once when I had my siding

My veterinarian recommended this NurtureCalm collar, and I have used it several times when I've had work done on the outside of my house, once when I had my siding replaced and recently when I had the front porch rebuilt and painted. Having workers around the property and the sounds of construction always frighten my cat and send him running under the bed. I didn't want him to be stressed during these multi-day projects. Within minutes of putting the collar on, my cat is peaceful and able to enjoy a regular day. He even watched one of the workers painting outside his favorite room. I highly recommend the NurtureCalm collar.
