Is the Dasuquin Soft Chews the same as Dasuquin Advanced Soft Chews?
Answer by ChewyDec 18, 2018
The Nutramax Dasuquin Soft Chews Joint Health Large Dog Supplement is not the same as the Nutramax Dasuquin Advanced Soft Chews. the Nutramax Dasuquin Advanced Soft Chews contain MSM, while this supplement does not contain MSM. MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) has been promoted as having powerful anti-inflammatory and pain reducing properties, blocking the pain perception in certain nerve fibers before the pain impulse reaches the brain. Typically it is given to pets with arthritis who are experiencing pain.

This has avocado in it. Thought dogs cant have that?
Answer by ChewySep 20, 2018
The stem, leaves, pit, and peel of an avocado are not safe for dogs, however, avocado oil is a risk-free way to give your dog the benefits of this fruit.

Is there MSM in this product?

I Believe it Works

I have a 14 1/2 yr old Cavachon who has had diabetes for 6 years. He started limping slightly and wouldn't jump up onto the sofa. The vet said he seems to have some arthritis and muscle weakness. So I began giving him this. He still limps, but he seems more frisky and romps like a puppy. Neighbors and friends have noticed the change in him without me asking.

Love it

My senior dog is very picky when it comes to medications or supplements. However he eats these with no problem.

Easier to give than hard pills

Our vet recommended this product for our dog's arthritis. Because it includes glucosamine and chondroitin, we don't have to also give him those hard pills. This goes into his dinner, and he chows it right down. It's been only a couple of weeks, but he does seem to be improving.

Good results

To my great relief, our dog likes these. He's become stubborn about medicated chewy things--but he likes these, and we seem to be getting the desired results. More mobility, less pain, and that's what we were going for. Success!

Prescribed

Vet recommended after I got to excited and hurt myself. After much care from the vet I now take this along with Vitamin C 1000mg to build and strengthen cartilage and muscle in my hip joint. No longer lame and they taste delicious. I can play jump and run like before. Thanks mom.

These really work

I been getting these about a year for my (then 4, now 5 year old) dog. He’s 95 lbs and had 2 CCL repairs before his 2nd birthday. While the repairs went well, he was often limping and very stiff, especially in the morning. I got these at the recommendation of my vet and after about a month noticed a huge difference. He’s been on them consistently now for about a year, and I never see him limp anymore. He absolutely hates the taste of them, and will not chew or take them from me, but they do the job so I just give them to him like a pill every morning.
