I bought these chews for my 9-yr old Boxer/ Doberman, a month before he had a large fatty deposit removed from his inner thigh that was starting to affect his walk and making him limp. He willingly took them for a day or 2 then decided to be difficult. Not willing to be outsmarted by my dog, I started tossing them with the pieces of raw cow heart that I add to his grainfree kibble and he gobbles them down without realizing. He's on 3 antibiotics and 2 pain killers. Keeping his gut healthy and trying to avoid constipation from the anesthesia and prescriptions was my plan. So far, so good! He left a present in his makeshift bathroom off the back deck within a few hours of having returned home. I'll keep him on these for the rest of his days.
I have 2 yorkies. My girl doesn't have her teeth. I bought these and they were great. This last time I got them...they're hard. She can't chew these up and my boy had a hard time. So I've been breaking them up as small as I can for them. They shouldn't sell them as "soft" chews if they're hard chews. I was reading other reviews and it seems I'm not the only one.
I give two things to my companions, high quality food, and a good probiotic. Loads of love, exercise, a good diet, and a healthy gut, is basically all they need. I have had good results from this Nutra-Vet product. They get theirs before I get mine. So when I say I am satisfied, there is a lot that goes behind that statement.
I only have this 4 stars because I haven’t used it long so I want to see if there are more results! Since we started using this product, my dog has stopped eating grass! This has been an a habit she’s had since I got her, so the fact that she’s stopped is a win! Her her skin also looks better since she’s prone to dandruff. Overall, I really like this product but I want to use it more to see if it really helps her!
This stuff has worked wonders for my 5 yo healer. He was licking alot and getting hot spots. I tried another chewable first but it did not seem to help him. I found this stuff here on chewy, so I decided to try it. After 3 mos of giving him these, his coat is silky smooth again, Hot spots are gone, and there is no more excessive licking. His poops have been healthier as well. Would highly recommend this product if your pup has sensitive skin or skin issues.
Not really sure how to rate this. The first time I ordered this, the bites were moist and a little chewy. Seemed to help my pup. When I reordered, three containers, they were all hard and dried out. Almost chalky looking. Looks as if they product is old, wasn't stored properly or something. Hiding this stuff in my dogs food so that he will eat them. The first order, he ate like they were tasty treats.
I have a 120lb Dogo Argentino and a Staffordshire terrier- These two can clear a room in seconds. I give my Dogo 5-6 before he eats and it started working immediately. Both of my pups still release gas, as normal, but ZERO smell!
Our 125 pound puppy (3 years old) has a very sensitive stomach and has been on these chews since she was 6 months old. They do the job well and we have very few accidents now where it used to be every 3 days. Good job, Nutri-vet. Her vet said that this was a good product.
The first time I ordered this supplement they were soft and chewy and seemed to help with my dogs digestive issues. I reordered 3 more containers and this time the supplements are hard and dried out like they were sitting on the shelf for a while. Hope they will still do the job for my dogs.
Does your dog have gas? Could he power a small town for a month through his flatulence alone? If you have no plans to harness his gaseous power then you really need this stuff. The probiotics work wonders for your pets digestion. I wonder if it works on people.....
