Definitely Slowed Bailey
By LoveMyPits on Feb 3, 2021
Bailey is a pitbull puppy. He normally takes about 30secs - 1min in a normal bowl to scarf down his 1.5 cups of food per meal. He has been using a different slow feeder since he was about 10 weeks old (now 21 weeks). He had that one mastered to 3 minutes. When I gave him this one, it took him about 10 minutes for the first week, 8 minutes the second week, and now it takes him 5 minutes. It doesn't appear easy to flip over. Feels well made, and has a decent weight. He does slide it around a little, but not like other bowls I've tried. I was iffy on spending so much on a bowl, but I'm glad I did. I plan on buying more in different designs. I think it is a good idea to change up the pattern so the Bailey is a pitbull puppy. Great Bowl!
By Gardenflower on Feb 24, 2021
We really needed to slow our Maltese down with his eating. This has definitely done the trick. It took him about a minute or two to eat a meal, and now he finishes in about seven or eight minutes. That’s amazing because he used to gulp his food down so quickly that he would throw up sometimes after eating. I have not seen him do that since we got him this bowl. I highly recommend this bowl if you have a dog that eats too fast!

Not ideal for puppies
By Matty on Feb 18, 2021
This was larger than I expected! I was originally going to use to feed my puppy to slow down meal time and provide some mental stimulation, but he is just a tad young - the grooves are a little too deep and he is a little too impatient. It's great for putting some high value treats to sniff out and entertain for a little while though! May try again for feeding down the line.

Perfect for a dog that smashes food!
By IvoryRain on Jan 24, 2021
My dog always just absolutely crushes her food; I don't even think she chews sometimes. Then, immediately after, makes choking sounds like she's gasping for her life. It's a combination of concerning and annoying. The last straw was the other day when she straight up vomited on our duvet after eating. I mean, she ate it because it was just whole pieces of food but it still made a huge mess. More importantly, in all seriousness, I've been concerned for her. Since buying this bowl she's had zero issues after eating! No gasping for air, no vomiting. It enraged her at first, I have a hilarious video, but she got used to it fast. Very happy, would recommend!

Works great!
By SJClark on Jan 14, 2021
Our rescued Dobie came from a home where she had to fight for food or she didn't get any. So when we brought her home, fed her, she gulped down her food in seconds then would belch and start to vomit. So we found this slow feeder and it is our miracle! She now takes about 8 minutes to eat and actually chews some of her kibble. This gives me about 8 minutes to do the dishes, start a load of wash or just a minute to myself! Great invention for a food bowl. It is sturdy, doesn't slide along on the floor and is heavy enough that she doesn't flip it over. Highly recommend it if your dog is a gulper, it will slow them down.

Great for fast eaters!
By abclife on Feb 18, 2021
My pup is a super fast eater. With a regular bowl, he would gobble down 1 1/2 cups of food in 2 minutes. He never chewed any kibble, he would just swallow it. After purchasing this slow feeder, he now takes about 5 minutes to finish his food AND he chews it! This is great to slow down a fast eater.

Slows down puppy eating
By Momof4boys on Jan 3, 2021
We ordered 2 of these. We have 2 - 12 week old puppies and when we brought them home at 9 weeks old they were eating so fast they weren’t even chewing their food. This caused one of them to have digestive problems and regurgitate his food a few times. Since we’ve bought these bowls we haven’t had any issues with digestion and these bowls have definitely slowed down the puppies eating. It is funny to watch them eat because they both circle the blows trying to get the food out. The ridges are high in some areas so the puppies flick the food up with their touches to get it. As they grow and their touches et longer this will get easier for them this will easier. We’re hoping they learn to slow down We ordered 2 of these. So worth it
By Colliemom on Jan 13, 2021
My pup had been eating so fast (wolfing her food in less than a minute) that she'd choke herself! When this bowl came on sale, I added it to my auto-ship. My first thought when it arrived was that it was way too big...over a foot in diameter, and holds 4 cups (I only feed about a cup per meal). But I sprinkled her food out throughout the whole feeder, then added a little bit of water to each section. Perfect! Now she laps and works to get every last kibble out. Has slowed her down to 8-9 minutes per meal, and no more choking. Love it!

I wanted to love it
By Chelsea on Jan 1, 2021
My older Australian Shepherd tends to eat her food too fast and then frequently regurgitates right after. I hoped this would slow her down and solve that problem. It definitely slowed her down but she exerted so much extra effort trying so hard to get every kibble and to still eat at her fast pace. She was exhausted when she finally finished, to the point of needing to lay down and pant like she just went on a walk. Series of unfortunate events, my other dog then tried to pick it up like a toy on the first day and put a hole in the bowl with his tooth in one crunch. It seemed like a good idea and good quality, but might not work for everyone.

It is not anti-skid
By Thomas on Feb 23, 2021
I use this for my cat on a vinyl floor. It works very well as a slow-feeder and I like the product. But it slides around the floor VERY easily, which makes it a struggle for my cat. I have to find a non-skid mat or something to keep it in place.
