Does this pier also extend up ?

Answer by ChewyNov 13, 2025
This floating pier has 6-inch pylons to hold the platform in place as it goes up and down on the waters surface. The small size does not have extensions available for the platform to float higher like the medium and large floating piers.

This corner turtle pier is sturdy and great quality. I don't use it for amphibians or turtles. I secured the floating affect and use it for a snake. I have a few of the large docks and have done the same and it provides a nice platform for my snakes to rest on.

Not user friendly

If your aquarium has the silicone that extends past the corners, this item will not stick to the bottom unless you pull it away from the edge. This leaves just enough

If your aquarium has the silicone that extends past the corners, this item will not stick to the bottom unless you pull it away from the edge. This leaves just enough space that baby turtles have the potential of getting stuck between the item and the glass.

Not what I thought it was

The floating pier was not liked by the turtle. She went underneath and almost got stuck. She did not like the movement of the platform. Too small for her too.
