To fill: Pinch the Sure Lock cap to raise up the lid away from the plastic seed tube. Fill feeder with mixed or sunflower seed. Replace roof and reset Sure Lock cap snugly against the lid. Hang in a location that allows birds to seek cover easily if needed.
To clean: Remove the lid and empty out the seed. Wash feeder thoroughly with hot water and nontoxic detergent. Use a soft bottle brush (#818426) to remove dried-on debris. Rinse thoroughly in clean water and dry completely. Refill with fresh seed.
Birds at my feeder look sick, what should I do?
The best thing to do is to stop feeding the birds temporarily. Remove the feeders and throw out all of the seed. Thoroughly wash your feeders. Remove all debris from under your feeder. Do not touch the sick birds. Refill all of your feeders and resume feeding.
How do I prevent seeds from sprouting under my feeder?
You will need to sterilize your seed to prevent it from germinating. This will not alter the attractiveness or the nutritional value of the seed in any way. Here are two methods:Conventional Oven: Place the seed on a baking sheet and cook for 30 minutes at 300°F.Microwave Oven: Place seed in a paper bag. Cook on high power for 5 minutes.
Why does the seed in my feeder get moldy?
Mold is caused by a heavy rain, driving sleet or snow plugging the feeding ports and allowing water to dampen the seed. Always clean, dry and refill your feeders after heavy weather. You may also want to try placing 1/4" of cat litter in the bottom of the feeder to absorb excess moisture.

Panorama Bird Feeder
By LLevi on Feb 22, 2021
A Fantastic buy. After reading the reviews from other buyers I purchased two feeders. Easy to fill, and after treading through a foot of snow, I was able to hang one of them, within a couple of days the birds came. The reviews were very helpful. I used thistle for the feeder, I read that fruit and nut is to chunky, which birds do love, I throw that onto the ground for the large birds, while the smaller birds visited the feeder. Both feeders were packed carefully.

Classic Bird Feeder
By jetbennett on Feb 15, 2021
This is a classic because all birds, from Painted Buntings to Blue Jays love it. The perch style suits all. This is my third one. The first I dropped and the plastic broke and wasn't fixable. My second one is going strong, and my third purchase was just such a great deal I couldn't resist. The feeder ages well, but I live in Miami and bring it in when it rains or the seed will get soaked. The squirrels like it too, so I give up & let them snack, or put out something just for them. It's also easy to clean.

Bird feeder
By annatheo on Jan 28, 2021
Only knocked off a star because the packaging was horrific. I received this bird feeder in a very large box with a giant hole in the side...there was nothing wrapped around the feeder to protect it. A piece of the plastic did break off but did not affect its functionality---so i kept it. My birds really like this feeder. Easy to perch on and seeds don't get wet when it rains.

Birds love this feeder
By HappyBirds on Feb 9, 2021
The Perky-Pet feeder is my favorite of the 4 feeders I have in my yard. The birds love it and can easily access their seed. It is easy to refill without having to take it down from its branch. And, it is visually attractive to us humans. This is the best feeder for my needs that I've found so far.

Quality For The Value
By SquirrelProofFeeder on Feb 15, 2021
Not exactly squirrel proof, but pretty close! They can still jump from a tree to get at the feeder rings, but if placed properly, it’s pretty darn squirrel proof! I would recommend this feeder. Love the brushed bronze look of the feeder as well. Decorative AND functional.

Birds loved it immediately
By Amber on Jan 7, 2021
I have some suspicious birds near my house in Arkansas and they won't go near my feeders if I even move them around a bit in the yard. I put this one out with some Wild Delight Bug n' Berries food and I had birds swarming it within a few minutes. There were 4 sitting on the round bar eating at one time. I'm ordering a another one. I just got it so I don't know how long it will last but I'm enjoying the birds flocking to it. *I did put some aluminum foil on the top wire on the advice of another reviewer so the rain doesn't drip down and soak the food.

on the fragile side
By hunkeringdown on Jan 10, 2021
Over time I have purchased three of these feeders becauseI like everything about them except their fragility. Easy to fill, easy to clean, several birds can feed at once. Each one has fallen once, either by operator error or by a squirrel. One fall, and the cylinder has broken. In all three cases, a plastic tab that fits into the bottom has broken off.

Best bird feeder I've found
By LJandtheCats on Dec 30, 2020 Top 500 Contributor
I own two of these. They're so easy to fill, and more importantly they're easy to keep clean. I can't tell you how many other feeders I've tried that were supposed to be as good as Perky-Pet brand but they didn't even last through one snowy winter, the coating either started to chip off or began to rust. Not these! The panorama feeders are sturdy and the metal finish won't peel or flake.

He likes to watch the birds and squirrels.
By CatLover on Dec 25, 2020
This feeder works as expected. We got birds after about 2 days, and then they had to share it with the squirrels about 4 days after that. It survived the recent snow storm. Stayed dry enough that we had birds back the next day. Squirrels will hang on it and eat the seed but they don't get into the plastic cylinder full of seed. Cat will sit in the window and watch all day. Great value! Thanks Chewy!

Birds love it
By Gigi on Feb 20, 2021
Received right on time to feed the birds in this extreme cold weather. They seem to like it as it is always busy. It is easy to fill while it is hanging. I may buy another.
