My cats love the water fountain and drink from it far more than their bowl, but I'm questioning the sanitary value of the filters. They don't fit properly and they have almost no active ingredients in them to purify the water. As a result, I will not buy more of these and have resorted to giving the fountain a thorough cleaning every other day which is a real inconvenience given the cost of the unit and the supposed filtration system built in.

Does it's job.

I've used this fountain for over a year. I change filter every month. Sometimes needs a deep vinegar cleaning and rinse. My cat won't drink out of a regular bowl

I've used this fountain for over a year. I change filter every month. Sometimes needs a deep vinegar cleaning and rinse. My cat won't drink out of a regular bowl of water now. He needs this thing for survival because he will not acknowledge any other source of water.

Didn't even last a year

It worked great for a while, and we replaced the cartridge every 3 weeks or so and kept it topped off. It stopped working a few days ago. The motor broke. Not worth
