As each dog is unique, feeding amounts will vary. Use this chart as an initial guide and adjust accordingly to achieve your dog's ideal body weight. Always provide fresh clean water. Puppies: from 11/2 - 3 months old feed 2 times the recommended Adult amount, from 3 - 6 months feed 11/2 times the Adult amount, and from 6 - 11 months feed 11/4 times the Adult amount. Gestation: increase the recommended Adult amount by 25 - 50%. Lactation: feed free choice.
A 5-10 day transition period is optimum. Start by feeding 80% of their old food and 20% of PetKind. Each day, increase their portion of Petkind by 10% while decreasing their old food until 100% of their meal consists of their new food.

Excellent food!
By ALTL on Nov 17, 2019
My dog loves this food! It's hard to find a grain-free food with no poultry, high protein, high-quality fat, and lower carbs. I will continue to purchase this food and I really hope it doesn't get discontinued:)

Not chewys fault
By Confused on Aug 3, 2019
What??? 92 dollars and it contains calcium carbonate? Thats ridiculous...this food isn't as quality and fancy as the brand tries to make it seem. Not chewys fault but the brand has this food waayyy over priced. Acana and Orijen brand food are much better in every way

The dogs love it!
By PawterPups on Sep 1, 2018
I am really pleased with this kibble. My shiba inu and shepherd mix have finished one large bag, and this food seems to sit well with them. Their coats look nice, and their stools are firm and not very large. I also appreciate the size of the kibble (not too large, sort of disc-shaped) and the fact that it's not very greasy or very dusty. I use kibble to train my dogs often, and some other kibble brands are greasy to the touch or extremely dusty. I'm ok with the price given the ingredients in the food! You get what you pay for. The bag I initially received had a large slit (~5") near the bottom and there was loose kibble floating around in the box. Chewy immediately sent me a replacement bag I am really pleased with this kibble. My shiba inu and shepherd mix have finished one large bag, and this food seems to sit well with them. The search ends here!
By Ferguson on Jul 10, 2018
We have our sweet boy, Ferguson, who has food allergies real bad. We tried so many brands of dry food and could not find one he could eat. Poor boy was scratching, digging himself raw, chewing his butt, and could not stop. I was afraid he was going to drown in his own butt he chewed it so much. Then there were ear infections too. Now, we tried PetKind venison dry and all of this stoped! He even has a very healthy shine to his coat. I no longer have to fear the butt drownding! A perfect dog food for dogs with allergies.

What do you give a picky dog?
By Debra on Jun 20, 2018
The kibble is a little bigger than my little Maltese mix likes, but he did eat it - once. Did I mention PICKY? I think the zipper opening is great. I can squeeze out some of the air and then zip it back up. But it will last a LONG time with Marley (unfortunately).

Don’t second guess

I have a 80lb all black shepherd. We have had Oden on pet kind for almost 2 months now and we will be sticking with it as long as they carry it. He had blue buffalo early in his life but it never really sat well with him and would occasionally get pretty ill. Then we went to nature’s variety raw instinct. He loved it at first but had some issues maintaining the same Flavor and consistency of bags wasn’t to my standard. We had several have not have any raw nuggets. This is the first dog food we cannot free feed him on. He absolutely loves it. I’d read before about Certain food owners would think mad their dogs coat more healthy and believe it now. So far so good
By Trippy on Mar 24, 2018
I was so impressed with how quickly our order arrived. We're changing from one brand to another due to allergies in my Labradoodle, that manifest as ear infections and itchy skin. My guy loves this new food so the taste is a definite plus we're just waiting to see how his ears will react.
