My super senior kitty was put on a diet, so I bought this feeder to replace one with larger portion sizes. This one works great! It also has more features and a much better battery than other feeders I have tried at the same price point. I like that the PetLibro feeder has it's own app, instead of having to sync with a third-party app that doesn't work as well. I love the small portion size (about 2tsp of Cat Chow Naturals each) and the wide range of portions that can be programmed at one time. The only thing I miss is not having a "feed now" button on the unit itself, but that's easy to get around: I put a 1tsp measuring spoon in the top reservoir and just pop the top off and scoop out the desired portion when I need to feed off schedule. However, the unit is supposed to retain memory of the schedule and continue feeding on time if it loses the Wi-Fi connection. I tested this on a cross-country drive by leaving the feeder on battery power in the car and plugging it in again in hotel rooms. Unfortunately, the feeder didn't release portions on schedule, and often not at all. This was a multi-day trip where the feeder was scheduled before leaving, and I assume it isn't designed to function without Wi-Fi for so long, so I was disappointed but not surprised that it didn't work as planned. In the end I turned the feeder off completely and used it as a reservoir and bowl for manual feeding.

BB King and I love his new automatic feeder. I was leery of buying it since I had read some reviews about how difficult it was to set up. It was much easier than many other Bluetooth items I have paired before. The schedule was not difficult to complete, and I love the ability to "Feed Now". You go to the app, tap the image of the feeder which takes you to “Today’s Schedule”. There’s an icon on the bottom left to “Feed Now”. I had always fed BB at the same times as I fed Layla, my dog. BB continues to want to be fed the same time I feed Layla, so I give him a small treat, 1/24 cup, until his scheduled feeding time. I love the app feature where it notifies me that the food level is low. All around great automatic feeder! I would highly recommend!!

Petlibro Customer Service is terrible

Device is unusable 2 months after purchase, customer support has completely abandoned helping me figure this out. Worked decently for the duration it did work but

While Petlibro does offer a subscription, it isn't required to use the app. Ignore the reviews that suggest otherwise. This device works just fine without paying

While Petlibro does offer a subscription, it isn't required to use the app. Ignore the reviews that suggest otherwise. This device works just fine without paying for a subscription. When the device is working properly it's an excellent addition to your home. However, after almost 1 year the motor stopped working. Thankfully, chewy excellent customer service assisted me in replacing the unit. 4 out of 5 stars because I experienced problems in the first year.

Don’t do it

This feeder has given me nothing but problems. I’ve given it multiple chances to redeem itself with the resets and the troubleshooting but now it is saying that

This feeder has given me nothing but problems. I’ve given it multiple chances to redeem itself with the resets and the troubleshooting but now it is saying that the feeding was successful when kibbles didn’t even come out to feed my cat. This is being returned now and I need to find a new one that works for my little guy.

Love it!

These have been so nice to have! Keeps my cats on a feeding schedule without me having to worry about my work schedule. I got one for each cat. I don't have to fill

I don't have to fill them often, they can't get in them, and it keeps the food fresh! The app is pretty easy to use and sends notifications when the food or battery is low. One of my cats was a little scared at first, but quickly got over it!

Product information states it will hold several cups. Mila gets 2 cups two times a day. We downloaded the app and set the timer and at the set time, two pieces of cereal came out! Literally two bites. It would not allow us to reset it. We believe the actual pieces were too large to circulate through and dispense. We buy Iams dog food but it did not have luck.

Basic. You must use the App to dispense the food there is no manual override button to hit if you happen to find the cats staring at an empty bowl and you don't have your cell device handy. I ended up opening the top to scoop food out in that case. Does not hold a lot of food but that's fine, I have 4 cats. I haven't decided if it's a keeper yet. Not that special, but the price was good. There are probably better units out there. This one would be pretty good for a single cat household.
