Once a container is defrosted, it should be kept in the fridge and used within 7 days. Food that will not be used within that period of time should be kept in the freezer.

My dogs love Pet Plate. Their favorite flavors are the chicken, turkey, and pork. I like the way this food is packaged. It’s easy to open and close the lid if you have arthritis. The price is a bit high, but if you can afford it I would highly recommend this good quality food for your fur kids.

ONLY reason for a 2* review is becuase she likes it

The ONLY reason I'm not giving a one star is because my dog does actually like the food. Besides that, everything else about this company is so frustrating. First

The ONLY reason I'm not giving a one star is because my dog does actually like the food. Besides that, everything else about this company is so frustrating. First off, THERE ISN'T ENOUGH PRODUCT. I've had MULTIPLE flavors come with less than the 8 oz advertised on the container. Beef, chicken, and now venison. The first time I brought this up to them they said "It could be off by 1 - 2 oz" and gave me a $5 credit. Literally illegal but pop off queen. I'm definitely going to talk to a lawyer about this because it happens so frequently and I don't want a freaking credit I want the product!! The way I know is because my dog is supposed to have 2oz every meal and a lot of the times her last meal is shorted. I meticulously weigh them because I'm just like that and it's so annoying that I have to supplement some other food because it's literally not enough. Secondly, they make coming back to check how much you're supposed to be feeding your dog so irritatingly vague and unavailable. WHY is it not just right there?? Why do I have to dig in my account or email customer service?? Cancelling is also a pain but that's for obvious reasons. They also only ship every three weeks unless you email their customer service. Make it make sense. Why is everything just a run around with this company?? I seriously wish I never gave my dog the food and saw how much she actually enjoyed it because now I feel beholden to a company that is so annoying to deal with. The only way I would recommend them is if your having a lot of difficulties with your dog eating. My dog is a senior dog so I can suck it up for the time being but I would NEVER start a puppy on this food. All in all, don't recommend. Only if you have a super picky eater and this is the only food she actually gets excited about. Can't knock them on that front, the food is actually good and my dog loves it, unfortunately.

4 years on Pet Plate AMAZING experience!!

Let me tell you this food is amazing! I have a lab mix 4 year old and a new addition to our family a golden doodle 1 year old. Pet Plate food is an investment not and expense my dogs don't have any skin problems or stomach issues. my Lab just to get so sick, frequent vet visits medication skin problems until he was 8 months old eating science diet dry kibble, even Farm fresh that is we food, but my lab didn't like it seem that everything was liquefy until we decided to try Pet plate( you can see the veggies and well prepare and doesn't stink) and after 2 month of starting my dog seem happier and his hair healthier and body weight started to get better slimmer because if you do the subscription thru their website they will give you a recommendation how many meals and how many calories they need. Since year 2021 we have been feeding him only pet Plate, no more emergency visits... only annual check ups and a few vaccines to keep him protected against viruses. Now our golden doodle doesn't know any other food only pet plate. we tried everything but they favorites are venison, beef & lamb we always recommend this to family and friends. Thank you Pet Plate we love you!

I tried but my dogs did not like the wet food. The kibble they like just not the freeze dried fruit I just pick it out but I donated all the wet food to the SPCA

I've tried most fresh food options for my French Bulldog. She's not picky, but some foods are easier for her to handle digestive-wise. So far, Pet Plate has checked all the boxes - the food looks and smells like people-food, my girl loves it (we've tried all the flavors, and she hasn't found one she doesn't love - we're currently doing Venison and Lamb - and appreciate the availability of novel proteins!), and the containers mean no messy half full pouches in the fridge. Their customer service (as well as Chewy's) are top notch, and have answered all our questions with quick and friendly replies. All around awesome experience with this brand and product!
