I tried this pet feeder 4 times. It worked great the first two times. It didn't work the third time. I assumed it was the battery. I put in a new battery and it didn't work again. I have tested it with three other new batteries and still does not work. Needless to say my cats were very hunger when I came home!
Just like other 1-star reviews, ours arrived dead straight out of the box. Put in a brand new battery, tried different settings on the dials - nothing. Not clicking, not winding down, not opening anything. Not trusting this to feed our pets, sorry. Hopefully can return this to Chewy, otherwise it’s just piece of expensive plastic trash.
A great concept - had it actually worked. Just like the other d.o.a. reviewer, I also bought brand new batteries - but nothing works, timer does not move. Headed out on vacation and how is my cat getting her food?? My advice would be spend more money on a better quality product.
Needed a timed dish so that my cat could get his meds that he needs every 12 hours. Not so sure I would trust my cats life on this timer yet. So far its been operating correctly. Ive been making sure im present each time its set to open. It hasnt been precise. Within about a half hour. Acceptable for my concerns as long as it opens. I put dish on top of a gel ice pack thats covered with foil on bottom and sides to catch moisture. Its better than nothing at keeping wet food cold as long as possible. If you're dependent on something like this as I am then I think its important to know when to change the battery. There is no on/off switch and every battery is different so there is no specific timeframe that works for everyone. I plan to remove battery when im home and do not intend to use it.
My cats had decided that I should give them a snack at 3 a.m. each morning. I love them, but that was getting old in a hurry. I decided to try this automatic feeder. There are a lot of much more expensive ones, but I figured if they didn't like it then I would not be out so much money. So far, it has worked perfectly and I am no longer awakened by them.
our cat is not a free feeder, and demands food every few hours. This lets her feed herself in the middle of the night without waking me up. Works like a charm!
I had another version of this, and it made a horrid clicking noise which irritated not only me, but my sensitive cat. This one works great, and I like that you can throw the bowls into the dishwasher after use. It does require a battery for use- but just one so that's fine.
Not fancy but works just fine. Had to be away all day. Came home and both sides had opened and all the food gone. Kitty was happy he did not have to wait all day for his feeding.
She loves the fact that she doesn't have to remember the time of my feedings or be at home when feeding is scheduled. I hate it because I'd think I should be able to eat as much as I want all the time but vet says I need to diet
My kitty absolutely loves these treat. She’s obsessed with them!! They are the only treats that do not upset her tummy.
