how often do you need to clean it?

For best performance, the fountain pump needs to be cleaned every two weeks. When cleaning the pump, we recommend cleaning the fountain and changing the filter as well. Multi-pet households may need to be cleaned more frequently. For details of how to clean the pump along with the manual, click the “Instructions” tab, next to the “Description” tab, just under the product photos.

Kinda feel mislead.

In the picture it looks big enough for a cat the get their head in for a drink of water. My cat is unable to get his head in there from any direction. The fountain

The fountain in the center only a small gap on all sides. Which, is unfortunate because he is definitely interested in it. Guess I continue my search.

My tortie was splashing in her water bowl and my wood floors were getting damaged. A friend recommended a fountain. I chise this one because the reviews said it was quiet --my rescue cat is afraud if EVERYTHING, and I knew that if the motor made noise, she would never come close. But the reviews were truthful! The motor is whisper-quiet, and Mollie loves the thing. The floor around her water bowl is now bone-dry! I can't believe it. Plus, the filters seems to keep the water in the fountain fresh and clear, and I think the heavy ceramic bowl looks quite nice. I'm a fan!

Filter leaks charcoal into the water, unusable product

Didn't even work for 8 hours before the charcoal filter leaked and turned the water black. Waste of $100. Don't buy this scam product!

The auto waterer has a really pleasant look and all of the cats use it. It's very quiet and I actually have 2 so I can have them at both ends of the house. It

The auto waterer has a really pleasant look and all of the cats use it. It's very quiet and I actually have 2 so I can have them at both ends of the house. It stays quite clean and I take it apart for a good scrub once a week. I use prefiltered water because that's what they're used to. My only negative is that I quit using the charcoal filter as it leaves fine charcoal powder on the bottom of the basin.

My cats love this little fountain. I bought one from Chewy a couple years ago that they loved, but it finally stopped working. I've been looking for a replacement

My cats love this little fountain. I bought one from Chewy a couple years ago that they loved, but it finally stopped working. I've been looking for a replacement for a while and finally settled on this one. And I'm so glad I did! It's small, very attractive and very quiet. It doesn't splash or make a mess. And the ceramic 'dome' in the center is large enough for both my cats to drink out of the fountain at the same time.
