I got the large one for my big dog. It works how it is supposed to. It's a little bit light and flimsy, but for the price it is good. It took my 12 year old dog 3 days to figure it out. He initially didn't like stepping up onto it. So for the first two days, we just put the turf piece over puppy pads so that he could get used to using the turf. On the third day we put it on the base and he got it right away.
My 6 month old puppy got the big idea in about 3 days. She was pee pad trained, so putting one of those on top as recomended worked well to get her started. When we stopped using the pee pad she adjusted quickly and at about a week and a half she was using it regularly on her own.
The pet loo works perfectly for our Westie. I don’t use the sponges as I’m afraid he might get the drawer open and eat them. He has not opened the drawer yet. The clips to Hold on the grass didn’t last a day but once the pad has his scent on it, he no longer takes the grass pad off. We have a mischievous puppy and this set up is a dream! Thank you!
Bought this for my Frenchie. They can easily pull the grass out of the backing & eat it. They pulled the grass mat from the "clips" that hold it in & they can get the tray out & eat the gel-like substance!! DO NOT PURCHASE!
My pooch wouldn't even attempt to go on this and was def too big for it. Never used and could not sell. Might be a good product for dog less than 50 pounds - this was bought because she is a senior and has trouble going up / down stairs.
I bought this for my almost 14 y/o husky/German Shepard mix. He is aprox 60 lbs. I bought the large because he is starting to have issues holding it through the night or when we leave for more than a few hours. I set it up last night and woke up to find that he used it! I did show it to him and had him stand on it, the frame is well constructed and did not cave in like some reviews stated. The grass does have an odor, but hopefully that goes away. Prefer a faint odor to stepping in a puddle first thing in the morning! The step up is about 4 inches which was more than I was expecting. My dog isn’t much of a leg lifter in his old age, so I’m assuming he squatted over the grass. I do wish the pad was slightly larger, I would not purchase the large for dogs larger than a husky as they might not fit over the mat while doing their business.
My poms used it just 1 time then they started to eat it. I don't like the artificial grass it needs to be more like real grass then I'm sure the pups would use it.
I like the whole thing except for the quality of the grass, it is hard and stiff. I am going to buy an outdoor rug grass to replace it.
Very Satisfied. Purchased the large size for nighttime use on a balcony. I followed the recommendations in the product video and my adult 65 pound hound dog was using it consistently in 2 weeks, trained him just as I would housebreaking a puppy. Easy to clean in the shower. Clips were secure, grass did not shed, Collection drawer was more than sufficient for his size.
This thing is made with cheap thin plastic that dogs and puppies can chew. The grass is like green straw. horrible and cheap for costing over 100.00. Worth 50.00 tops! CHEAP! CHEAP! CHEAP!
