The more I have thought about it, the design flaw I have an issue with might not be a flaw at all but on purpose. My issue is the compartment that the solids are scooped into is very small, much smaller than the compartment on the disposable boxes. When I use the disposable box I can usually go almost a full 30 days even with two cats. But when I use the reusable box we rarely make it far past two weeks. It starts to smell and I have to change it bc it isn’t closing all the way. I do believe the design was on purpose so they still are getting plenty of money and you aren’t saving what you think you’re saving by using the extremely overpriced reusable tray that is much hard to clean and change out than the disposable one. I find this so dishonest and would recommend skipping over the entire system if you could and go for a better automated one.
I have a part Maine coon rescue cat. He really likes a litter box and will come into the house rather than use outdoor sites. I like the fact that I don’t have a litter box where you can see Sandollar‘s and torpedoes protruding out from the litter!!! I’ve recommended to other people
I like the reusable tray better than the disposables as it is a bit better for the environment. However, the tray needs replaced every year or two (in a multi-cat household), as the tray becomes scratched and stained. The litter starts sticking to the bottom. It's easy to change the litter. The magnetic strip is unnecessary for the model of litter box I have. It actually just gets in the way.
The train is way better than the cardboard box it comes with and this is a pretty good deal. Definitely a good investment and I will purchase it again when I get my next litter box.
It does rake the turds into a separate bin but it can still be stinky
Doesn’t work as well as the disposable ones and smelled after 2 days. The disposable trays are much easer to keep and don’t smell as bad and I only clean them once a month. I’ve found myself cleaning the reusable trays weekly
Way better than the cardboard boxes and cheaper as long as you rotate the litter the pee will not sit in the bottom, the plastic is also easier to clean when changing litter. I change my litter once a month and it doesn’t stink if you maintain it. To help with smell, I clean my waste trap out every three days, it takes 10 seconds. It saves me more time than I would be spending scooping the litter box 1-2x and is way more convenient since it’s in one small area. Maintain it and it will work wonderfully, I have 1 cat. 4/5 stars. Love it!
I am very happy by this my Cats happy, so we are all happy!
This is a very nice made pan for the Pet Safe electric cat litter top. It will for sure save me lots of $$s.
Does not work anymore . Compared to the disposable trays this doesn’t even lift anymore
