Do you have the mini version of this treat pouch? This one is too big and bulky and tends to get in the way.

Pretty good

The old version of this treat pouch which I purchased probably 10 years ago was finally worn out, so I purchased this updated version in blue. I was a little disappointed that the newer one doesn’t have a loop on the front of the pouch like my old one does. It was useful to have that second loop and I’ve missed it. The treat are of this pouch is hard to open. Not only because of the strong hinges but because there is not a good spot to stick finger or fingers to open it. If only the old pull/hang loop was there, there would be something to grab onto. And while my cell phone fits in the front pocket, it becomes very hard to quickly get the treat pouch open when there is something stiff like that in the front pocket. So now I just put my phone in my pants pocket or leave it at home to avoid this issue.

Great design but bad metal

I love the snap open and closed design and the dog even alerts when she hears it open. Unfortunately, after five months of use the spring metal broke and dropped into the pouch full of treats. I heard it break so emptied out the pouch and found it.

Love This Pouch

They pouch as described I ordered in blue/gray. It holds about 1 1/2c of treats approximately. It’s well made and study and fits around my plus size waist. Love it and it works perfect for training

Hinge broke after 2 weeks

The hinge broke after 2 weeks of use. The item is not suitable for everyday use with training treats. Select a different product, this is garbage.

Just right

This pouch has a hinge that makes it perfect for quickly dispensing treats without fumbling with a zipper. The added compartments for bags and anything else you want to bring make it ideal.

Very bad, literally hazardous, avoid at all costs

Within the first months of regular use, the hinges broke, leaving a sharp plastic part in the treat area along with the treats. This literally could not be worse. It’s a treat bag that adds broken shards of plastic randomly into your dog’s treats. DO NOT BUY. I’m also sending this review directly to Chewy in hopes that they delist this item, and to the manufacturer so that they stop selling it.

Doesn't dispense poop bags :(

I bought this because it seemed cooler looking and slimmer than our current treat pouch, but then I got it and was disappointed that it doesn't have a poop bag dispenser. Now we won't ever use it :/

Used to be AMAZING, now flimsy

My first PetSafe treat pouch lasted for about 5 years before the hinges inside finally broke. It was heavily used. My most recent one lasted about 6 months before the hinges broke and I'm seeing other comments here about the hinges breaking as well. While it is usable with broken hinges, it makes it harder to access treats during training. I plan to try a new brand next time.

Perfect for training

This is a great size to carry treats, bags and my house keys. Very sturdy design and I love the hinge close. I had no problem opening it with one hand, but if you have limited mobility in your fingers or arthritis, it could be tough.

unexpected problem

Really wanted to like this item; thought it would be helpful during obedience training with my new pup. Unfortunately, the spring action for the larger pouch is difficult to open with one hand, and if you leave it open to provide a treat they spill out of the pouch. Good for walks to carry necessaries but not all that helpful for training purposes. Well made, belt is easily adjusted; clip on backside of pouch gives you added application for keeping on your pants waist if you prefer that.
