Harness looked great and worked pretty well to limit pulling (didn't stop it entirely), but after about a month our dog's shoulders started to have balding patches where the harness rubbed. I didn't love the front clip and that definitely was the cause of his fur getting rubbed off, although our dog didn't walk next to us with this harness like it intends. I was able to find a different no-pull harness with a Martingale style back clip so now there isn't any fur rubbing off and it works well for limiting pulling as well (brand is 2Hounds in case you also noticed this issue with this harness).
I use this harness with my 90 pound AmStaff Boxer mix. He is a very strong dog with stubborn tendencies. Vest type harnesses did not allow me to have enough control while a regular neck collar caused him to choke when he pulled or acted out. I have used this harness for two weeks now and it has given me the control I need without causing the coughing or neck discomfort from the normal collar. The material is strong, it is easy to attach around my big boy and he does does mind it at all.
We adopted a 4 year old lab mix and were told that she was a tugger on walks. Her foster mom had said she tried everything and a martingale collar was the only thing that would remotely work for our pup. A coworker who owns a dog grooming business HIGHLY recommended this to help with her pulling. Day 1 with it she was a completely different dog. She stayed by our side and did not try to stray too far once. We are still trying to find the "perfect" fit for her, but she is a little awkwardly proportioned being a mix. We've had the harness for a week now and I think she's tried pulling twice but didn't try to hard to pull away. Highly recommend!
I didn't expect much from this harness. My 7-month old TWC is a strong puller on a regular harness and I didn't think any harness could contain him. From the moment I put this on Smitty, he no longer pulled on walks. He never even tried to pull; he just seemed to know that he couldn't. Walks are not so pleasant!! Only criticism is that I think it runs small. I ordered a medium and there was no room for adjustment; it was at its fullest capacity. I'll have to order another pretty soon.
I was convinced nothing would stop my 11 month old puppy from pulling while on our walk. I was wrong. This harness corrected the pulling immediately. I ordered the raspberry/grey harness but the color is hot pink. Picture color definitely not the same as actual product. Not a big deal for me.
I chose this harness over replacing a Gentle Leader head harness that broke. I based my purchase on reviews of the Easy Walk Harness making it easier to walk wayward dogs. It did not help me better control my dog. It's much easier using a Gentle Leader harness with my Great Dane than the Easy Walk Harness. As harnesses go, the Easy Walk is fine but I didn't find it any easier than other chest harnesses that hook in front. I still contend the Gentle Leader is best for controlling strong, unruly dogs.
We were having issues with our 7 month old French Bulldog growing puppy and fitting collars harnesses properly on our ever changing and growing boy. Frenchies are built so very differently than my other dogs. He had been able to slip out of his other harnesses.... Very scary! On top of all that, he was a horrible leash walker. I know this harness VERY WELL and purchased one for my growing boy. I also purchased a martingale collar. This combination has been a lifesaver, on many levels. I purchased the correct size and he'll be able to grow into it no problem. I HIGHLY recommend the EZ-Walk harnesses to ALL dog parents. He can't slip out, as long as it's fitted properly. I connect this harness to his martingale collar, which is fit just right. It's now a pleasure to take my little guy out for his walks. No worries at all. Washes up wonderfully and is very well made. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
I was so excited to try this out with my beagle/basset mix that can't stop pulling on walks, but sadly it did not fit him. We even went down to a size M thinking it might fit since his measurements could have gone either way, but it just didn't work as each adjustment we made to one strap would make the other straps do something the instructions said was ill-fitting. Either the back and belly straps continued to make a Y shape rather than the proper horizontal line or sideways T shape, the O-rings would be in his armpits rather than behind his shoulder, the back strap was falling down his back, or the chest strap was drooping and not staying in the proper horizontal position across his chest. Very disappointing.
After guided measure, I ordered a Petsafe Easy Dog Harness for my "hard to handle pup" when I am outdoors. I am very happy with my purchase! My pup is only 15 months old and I wish I would have purchased much earlier. She loves the wind and runs with it; along with my lower back! NOW, with a front link, she is a little darling, and easy to unfasten and remove when I take her for a run and fetch session. I am happy with all products from chewy. She loves the food I have recently purchased, I am happy with all the help the staff gives to me on the phone for all my animals and products.
Bought this a week or so ago. Dog chewed through it on first walk - our fault. Called customer service to ask for a replacement at our own expense like product lit offered. They said since it was within first 30 days they would replace it for free! And service rep is US based. Phenomenal!
