At this time, we do not carry additional closing panels. Additional panels may be purchased directly from the manufacturer.

Can this be installed in hardy board siding?

This pet door can be installed in a home with Hardie board siding. To install this pet door, you will need to carefully cut out the Hardie trim to incorporate the pet door. Keep in mind that altering your home's Hardie trim will nullify the warranty.

Perfect except

It’s a great pet door and very neat and tidy looking as well. Installation was well explained and easy to follow. We were replacing an existing medium pet door

It’s a great pet door and very neat and tidy looking as well. Installation was well explained and easy to follow. We were replacing an existing medium pet door. Unfortunately the width apparently was a touch (1/4”) smaller than the one we installed many years ago. Stella is an English bulldog. She is wide chested and low and behold she was very reluctant to use the pet door. I almost thought she was totally stuck! halfway. Kind of like Winnie the Pooh. Unfortunately I will be purchasing another one in size large. My bad. I thought ,for sure, it would work. The double flap may have entered into the picture some. This pet door is really nice and great at keeping the hot or cold air out. Wish I’d had camera ready when Stella was half in and half out! She’s probably glad I didn’t take a picture.

Perfect pet door

We bought this dog door because we had two walls to go through. Measure twice and then cut once and it is perfect. It took a couple hours to prep, cute the doors

We bought this dog door because we had two walls to go through. Measure twice and then cut once and it is perfect. It took a couple hours to prep, cute the doors and then instal the inserts. You will tweak it as needed. None the traing begins for our 6 Mos. Old puppy!!

Product got cheaper.

I purchased this door to replace the one I had for about the last 7 years. Upon opening I could tell it is now made cheaper. The previous version had a metal frame

I purchased this door to replace the one I had for about the last 7 years. Upon opening I could tell it is now made cheaper. The previous version had a metal frame and a mechanical door lock/latch. The new version is all plastic and my dog broke it in a week. That being said, my dog should not have been clawing or chewing at it either. But here we are, another cheapened product. This is good for normal dogs, smart dogs that want out will get out.

COULD BE BETTER

THE ONE I WAS REPLACING WAS ALSO A PETSAFE DOOR. IT HAD WITHSTOOD MY HUSKYS FOR OVER 8 YEARS. GRANTED I HAD REPLACED THE FLAPS ONCE EACH AND ADDED THE INSULATED

THE ONE I WAS REPLACING WAS ALSO A PETSAFE DOOR. IT HAD WITHSTOOD MY HUSKYS FOR OVER 8 YEARS. GRANTED I HAD REPLACED THE FLAPS ONCE EACH AND ADDED THE INSULATED FLAP; SAME AS I DID ON THE HEW ONE. HERE IS MY ISSUE WITH THE NEW ONE, IN LESS THAN 3 MONTHS USE: 1) OUTSIDE FLAP IS ALREADY CURLING AND DEFORMING, 2) DOES NOT FORM A SEAL ON OUTSIDE, 3) WHEN SCREWED TIGHT TO THE WALL, IT LEAVES GAPS ALL AROUND THE EDGES DUE TO THE BACKSIDE HAVING VOIDS VS BEING FLAT AND SMOOTH. SO, ALL IN ALL; NOT IMPRESSED.

Freedom Matters

My dogs love being able to go in a5iut as they want. This door has given them freedom and I don't have to worry about them being locked in the house while.im not

Didn't hold up

The plastic broke on a spring day- presumably from the cold- when a dog was going through the flap. Now we just have a hole in the wall that lets cold in.

I love this door. I had ordered the small one since I have small dogs, but it was not quite right and too small for them. This one is perfect and can also allow

I love this door. I had ordered the small one since I have small dogs, but it was not quite right and too small for them. This one is perfect and can also allow my 20 some pound cat to use it. She has no interest in trying it though. The dogs are still learning they can go in and out without me letting them in and out every two minutes.
