My Dogs Love It!
This is a winner for my crew! That said, it is not a toy that will last a very long time for heavy chewers, but it provides them a lot of satisfaction. I have three dogs, two of them are extreme chewers, the other is still a pretty heavy chewer. They’ve had this for about three weeks & it’s been chewed daily. It’s about to the point that the remainder needs to be disposed of, I think it will last maybe another week. Even though it’s not the longest lasting, I feel like it’s been great for them & has really held their attention. With heavy chewers, we look at chew toys as consumables, in the sense that they are going to be used & then need to be discarded/replaced. So this fits the bill, with that expectation in mind. It may not be my first choice when I buy more next time, but I would buy it again if my first choice is unavailable.
Recommend for moderate chewers
We love Petstages Dogwood Tough Dog Chew Toys! We've always bought the ones that look like sticks of wood. I thought they'd have fun trying the "Flip & Chew". They loved it alright! Generally, the sticks last a week or more, this lasted a matter of a few hours. So, although we will still purchase Petstages Dogwood, we'll buy the sticks. This product is not for my tough chewing dog (27 lbs). I usually don't write reviews, but considering my dog vomited from ingesting so much that quickly I wanted to share caution as it's never been a concern with the sticks. Still a good product, just not for tough chewers.
Good shape, so-so flavor
Both dogs seems to like the ergonomic shape but the flavor apparently still doesn't compare to their favorite, the Himalayan Yak chew. But this is quieter and the smaller 60# dog (in photo) can manage this better than the large stick (same brand), which is easier for the 80# dog. They'll stay interested for a 5-10 minutes if I don't give them anything else before hand. Good price point though and durable without the cracking noises of harder chews.
Safe, Shape, Long Lasting
My Lulu has allergies to starch but is a chewer! Hard to find things she can chew safely and without a ton of ingredients. She likes the sticks that are like this too but this is a great variety of shape to keep her interested in chewing. Awesome products by this brand!
not good for dogs
This was the first time we bought a different brand than the bene bone. This was so poorly made that our dog chewed up and ate half of it within an hour.
Broke off in chunks
We have bought several Petstages Dogwood Sticks and a Petstages Dogwood Ring and have had no issues with durability. The sticks and ring have lasted for several weeks to several months. However, within a day of giving the Petstages Dogwood Flip & Chew Bone to our Boston Terrier, big chucks began breaking off, so we took it away from her and threw it in the trash.
I would only recommend this for medium chewers.
My two dogs (50 lbs. & 75 lbs.) chew too aggressively for this bone. We gave it a shot, but it wasn't long before they were wearing them out. It seems like it would be fine for a more normal level of chewing.

Favorite chew toy
My dog is absolutely obsessed with this toy. It's her favorite by far! She chews it everyday until she falls asleep. For aggressive chewers, it won't last long, though. It's the third I've ordered for my dog.
Favorite chew
I bought 1 of these and 2 of the other dogwood chews. My 3 dogs preferred this chew. They’re small (not tiny), but avid chewers. This chew lasted about a week before it got so small as to become a choking hazard, while the other 2 are still here. I’d buy again if I bought one for each pup so they would last a bit longer.
