We have been using this for two of our elderly dogs for about five years. We just started ordering from chewy and the first batch perfect. I just opened the second one which was delivered on November 18 and found them to be extremely hard, green, and with an odd glitter on them. I will be calling customer service ASAP.

As many reviewers have noted, there has been a “formulary change.” Now these are green with random specks resembling glitter, completely crumble apart (good luck giving half a chew per the instructions), and are upsetting my dogs’ stomachs. Has anyone been able to find a better HA alternative now that Phycox has change their ingredients?

I give this to my 11 year old Labrador and started giving them prior to her exhibiting any signs of arthritis. However, after a year of her taking them, she has now shown signs of arthritis in one of her front legs and I just have no way of knowing if this supplement is all that effective. I am glad, however, that there is a hypoallergenic version of this joint supplement for dogs. I give it as a treat basically, and it's not cheap at approximately 75 cents per treat.

Our dog has been taking the Phycox HA for several years without problems. Suddenly with our last shipment she refused to eat the soft chews. In contacting the product maker, they informed me the product formula has changed, so unfortunately we have to try a different supplement product. The company does have a 100% satisfaction guarantee and sent a credit authorization without hesitation which was appreciated.

I was disappointed in this product but also myself. My dog is on a hydrolyzed diet and I mistakenly thought she could take these . I had bought the first time and she seemed to do okay. But when she started on the second jar problems began with her loss of appetite and weight loss. I took her to my vet and they wated to do blood work to see what was causing the weight loss and her refusal to eat normally. I tried to think of anything different I was giving her and mentioned the Phycox. It was suggested I stop the Phycox to see if her eating returned to normal. After four days she was back to normal eating and is now putting back some of the weight she had lost. Please let those dog owners with dogs on a hydrolyzed diet that they should check with their vets to see if the product is suitable for their dogs. It was an expensive lesson at 98 dollars a jar but more concerning to see the result it caused in my dog Savannah.

She eats it!

Originally treat was very chewy and I’d break into 3 smaller pieces. Something changed and it crumbles now so I can’t break into pieces! My dog still eats it but

The product is good but twice the delivery has been left out next to my garage instead of under the covered front porch. There is no covering near the garage and it’s Florida so we get a good bit of rain and the supplements were wet and nasty. Not a good choice and it has happened twice.

Not sure how to rate/review this. It used to be a helpful supplement for my dog, but the most recent batch looks different (darker on the outside, green on the inside, instead of brown throughout) and she REALLY doesn't like it anymore. She's also been having more intestinal trouble, so I'm going to stop giving it to her.
