Pidan Tofu & Recycled Coffee Grounds Clumping Cat Litter, 5.29-lb bag, 2 count

My cats don’t track this litter all over nor does it get kicked out of the box. Compared to cheap litter and the more pricey litters, Pidan is definitely my favorite. Worth the money in my opinion.

I've always used clay clumping litter, so this tofu litter was a little different. One bag fills a 15"x18" litter box, I put it in my cats' travel box that goes with us on car trips to see how they liked it on it's own (which is why the box seems too small for the cat in the picture) and I think in the future I would mix it in with their normal clay clumping litter. It does clump, but the clumps are somewhat fragile and break apart easily. This is the only litter I've ever used that is 100% dust free, it has a pleasant smell and seems to absorb odors really well. It also doesn't stick to the bottom of the box, which is very nice. Overall, this is a nice clumping litter that I would use on it's own in small boxes/for small cats but will be mixing in with a clay litter to fill my cats' extra large boxes.

When I saw this litter I loved that it made use of discarded coffee grounds but was incredulous as to its effectiveness on clumping and smell. I was delighted to find that it’s no more odorous than any other litters and still clumps effectively! I was worried that the mix of substrates would be tracked out of the box and all over my house and I think the blend of substrates minimizes that. My cat didn’t seem to mind it either—he had no issues switching over. On the downside, I use large litter boxes and this bag was barely enough to cover the bottom. After a few uses, enough litter was gone that it was hard to keep a layer of litter across the box. My suggestion is to plan on buying more than 1 bag at a time to have a sufficient amount of litter at all times.
