Inflammatory conditions including allergies often improve within several days. Other chronic conditions such as autoimmune diseases and Addisons disease may take longer to improve. Always contact your veterinarian for further guidance if your pet's symptoms do not improve after a reasonable period of time.
At the time that I ordered this drug for my cat, I was not told that Chewy's waits for the autoship date before contacting my vet for approval. This delayed the drug being sent with the entire autoship. It came as a second shipment and my cat was unable to take this medication when he was supposed too.
this is generic prednisolone. that's unimportant. i am delighted with Chewy's customer service on even the smallest matters. this order was shipped promptly, as has everything we have bought from them. their sensitivity to a recent loss of a pet was way beyond what most merchants would provide, but that's just in their DNA. i have paid slightly less for other online pet rx orders, but i am committed to supporting a company that supports its customers.
I have a little 7lb cat being treated with 10mg of prednisolone a day. Since there’s no photos of the pills on the website, I ordered the 20mg pills (they don’t have 10mg). Bad move-they are huge! Even cut into 4’s they’re too big to fit into a pill pocket. Now I have to order the 5mg pills & give her 2 a day. Either way, Chewy’s price can’t be beat on prescriptions.
The 20 mg tablet is 1.5 cm long, 1 cm wide. I have to divide it into 4 parts to get the 5 mg dose and it is still too big for a 17 pound cat. I originally needed 5 mg, presumably the same size tablets, so I asked the doc to change the prescription to 20 mg, so I can divide the tablet. Love the price. Received in 1 day.
My vet has been out of these, and the other pharmacies they work with can't get them either. Chewy not only had them, but for much cheaper than i was used to paying.
our big guy has had some dental problems and getting his meds delivered super-fast from chewy saved us a trip to the vet to pick them up!
My special-needs cat and later his littermate were both diagnosed with asthma and need periodic doses of prednisolone to keep it under control. The 5mg are the exact same pills I used to get at my vet (small white tablets with a quick break score mark in the middle), but at Chewy I can get 30 for the price of FIVE from my vet. Even if this is the only thing I need and I pay for shipping, it's still less than half the cost. My vet doesn't have any problem approving the prescriptions with Chewy and it usually ships within a couple business days.
Same pills as from the vet for a FRACTION of the price. Worth the hassle of getting the paper script to send in.
I’ve experienced few different Co’s but Hands down Chewy is the BEST out there! Customer Service is like talking to a friend but professional and informative Amazing service! Prices r the best also! Thanks Chewy!
