Cat tested, dog approved.
These are actually pretty hard, not soft on the outside. My cats wouldn’t eat them. One cat does enjoy batting it around on floor until the dog eats it. Both of my dogs love these and don’t mind the tough to chew part. I’m thankful for the reviews that mention to refrigerate them and use within 14 days and for the recommendation to freeze half.

Both my dogs and cat loved these treats but when I received them half of the bag was almost like dust, otherwise my animals loved the treats!

I bought these for my cats and was surprised when I got them they said they were for cats and dogs! I’ve used them to turn treat time into a family gathering of all animals. I wasn’t expecting them to be small pieces but the animals love them! The smaller pieces help for the kitties to eat them

Not happy with the new recipe
Primal is now using blackstrap molasses instead of honey to save cost which somehow caused the treat from somewhat chewy to rock hard. Also, I hope chewy will update the ingredient list soon as the treat is no longer made with honey. While I still believe in the company, I’m very disappointed that they changed the ingredients to save cost. I’d rather them increase the price and still use honey instead. Now I’m on the journey to find new safe treats for my baby.
Good training treats
My Doberman puppy loves those treats but those are too small for mom and dad... they don’t even know what it is... they smell little bit like kibble and when I squeeze it I can see oily residue ... they look like tiny sausage cut in pieces...
Dries out fast
My papillon loved these, but it was such a bummer how they dried out so fast!
Expires Fast
I have a single cat and he loves these treats. I love them because they’re healthy and the company is transparent about their sourcing and ingredients. They’re great for my cats enrichment games and for training but for one small cat he could never finish a whole bag of treats before the product went bad. The treats never had a bad smell and they’re a great size for training. When they expire they get really hard like a rock. This size bag would be great if you had multiple cats or at least two that you give treats too daily to make sure you can get through the whole bag. Probably a better product for dogs. I wouldn’t buy if you just want something nice and casual to give to your pet for their pleasure. This treat is best if you’re training your pet daily.
these are brilliant
These are small enough that my 7 pound Yorkie Poo does not choke when I am trying to do training. They also work for my other two and keep them from getting fat :-)
