My dog's suggested dosage is 2 scoops per day. Since this product works systemically, is it better to feed the 2 scoops once per day or 1 scoop twice per day. Or does it make no difference?

How does this work? What does the kelp actually do?

The Supplement is ingested and works systemically. The natural compound in the product comes out through the saliva and works to break down the bacterial biofilm that forms on the teeth and gums.

My dogs don’t seem to love the taste of the kelp. Is the product still effective if I mix in the daily dosage into pumpkin and then freeze into small treats?

I have always been able to brush the teeth of any dog I have had...mostly poms and pom mixes. However, with my two current pom sweeties, one is an angel and let's me brush her teeth and my other pom who used to have teeth issues when I rescued him (and they have been taken care of) won't let me near his mouth no matter what. Anyway, long story short, I use this product on both of my dogs and thier teeth look nice and clean. Of course, the pom whose teeth I have brushed always look great but they do look brighter. I hestiated to believe the reviews but I based my decision on them and they were right. I still haven't figured how the product works but it seems to have worked well so far. I have ordered it twice now and am very happy with the product.

Great Product!

Like many pet owners, I find it hard to brush my dogs teeth. I have two dogs, both about 4y old, and I know dental health is extremely important for overall wellbeing and it was important for me to find a solution. My vet gave me a list of recommended dental products, and this powder was on it. It works wonders. It helped to reduce tartar, buildup and yellowing, and helps to freshen their breath as well. you only have to add a little bit to their food, and my picky golden retriever, doesn’t mind the flavor. I use this powder in combination with water additive and dental chews and my dogs teeth are looking great!

Seems to do the job is states!

Although my adopted shelter dog was only 3-4yrs old, her teeth already had tartar that I assumed would need a veterinary dental cleaning. Then my vet suggested this product to try first. The daily amount is based pet weight and is small in volume compared to your pet's daily intake of food. Great news - I did see a difference. Make sure you clear the use of this product with your pet's veterinarian before you purchase and use this product.

My dogs had good teeth and gums as a baseline, so I haven't noticed a big change and their breath seems fine too. The vet did say recently that my one dog has "beautiful teeth." I got this product to maintain their good oral hygiene and I guess it's working! But I think it's also doing good things for my one dog's gut too. She used to throw up fairly often--a few times a week. We started using this product in August and I realized yesterday that she hasn't thrown up since October. One jar lasts several months for two big dogs, so though it seems expensive, it's really not that pricey. I sprinkle it on their dry food and they eat it so it must taste OK! Overall, I think there are noticeable benefits so we'll continue to use it.

Wish I’d taken a before picture! Bernie experienced a reaction to anesthesia the last time she had her teeth cleaned a couple years ago. When her vet mentioned an increase in plaque at her appointment early this year despite regular brushing, we added Proden plaque off powder to her routine. Her teeth look so much better after just a couple months and her vet mentioned how great they look at her most recent check up. Totally worth the price to keep her healthy for years to come!

My english bull terrier has LARGE SLIMEY STINKY TEETH !!! This has been a life saver !! He weighs 45 pounds and although it says give two scoops, I give about 3 or sometimes 4. HIS TEETH LOOK AMAZING AND THE TARTAR IS SIGNIFICALLY GONE !! Give it about 3 months and you'll see this difference. Consistency is key !! I can't believe I almost spent thousands on unnecessary dangerous dental procedures !! For my fellow Bull Terrier owners this is a must have!! And it's safe !! Thank you to the creators for this contribution to the pet world !!!

I am an animal hospital employee for many years and this product along with brushing assists with the removal of plaque and refreshes their breath. At a recent wellness appt for one of my dogs, the Vet commented on the whiteness of his teeth. My other female was adopted this past March and her teeth especially the back ones were brown. With continued use of the product her teeth are looking 100% better.

Effective

Purchased a bottle about 6 months ago and have been using it daily with his food. He is a rescue and had very bag plaque build up on his back teeth to begin with

I have noticed a tremendous improvement since using this product! I do try to brush his teeth everyday, but I believe this product is to credit for the plaque removal.

it works with no downside for my dog

My current dog has been more normal re plaque development and had a dental at 3. From that point I started brushing his teeth with limited results. He's now 7.5

My current dog has been more normal re plaque development and had a dental at 3. From that point I started brushing his teeth with limited results. He's now 7.5 and I will be getting a dental check in the coming months but in the meantime I thought I'd add this. Initially I only used 2 scoops at breakfast and didn't see change, I added a third scoop (he is 70lbs) and definitely see improvement. He can & will eat anything so I can't comment on taste, but it clearly works. I was skeptical but it has improved his dental health
