Dog had a HORRIBLE reaction!
My 5 year old dog has been on Purina his entire life with NO PROBLEMS until I switched to this food. I normally rotate between ONE chicken and rice, lamb and rice and the venison and turkey True Instinct. Literally zero problems his whole life. After one week on this Healthy Weight version my dog developed a rash on his undercarriage and feet so bad he could hardly walk! Spent a ton of money at the vet where they told me he's allergic to something and overweight. Yea, that's why I switched him to this food! We tried a few different things to treat his now raging skin infection to no avail. We seen the vet 5 days ago after 2 months on this food and we decided to switch his food to maybe give him some relief. He's on PPP Sensitive Salmon and Rice now and I can see a ton of improvement already. His skin is calming down and the spots are drying up. I've NEVER had this problem especially with this dog. If he really is allergic to it I DO NOT understand it! I compared the ingredients in this to the 3 versions I normally use thinking maybe there was some weird ingredient he never had before... nope. That was not the case. There has to be hidden ingredients, that's the only thing I can figure!
We Love Purina One!!!
Paris has put on quite a bit of weight in the last several months so I decided to give this a try. So far she likes it and so does my other 2. They are not overweight but this should keep them from getting there. I am hoping this will help Paris shed a few pounds. I have been feeding them Purina One for 3 years and I have not had any issues when I change from one kind of Purina One to another. The quality of this food has been consistent and I like that. I will definitely reorder this dog food if it helps Paris get back to a healthy weight.
Worms in food!!!
I bought pet food, treats, toys and accessories from Chewy, spending quite a bit. My 2 year old pups dog food had mealworms all over his food! I didn't notice at first because I was in a hurry refilling my pets food and the worms blended in with the color of the food. It wasn't until a couple days later when I noticed my pup was sluggish and not feeling well. I called the vet and checked his food. That's when I saw the worms all over. I have video that shows tons of worms better than the pic shows. I'm not happy with how the issue was resolved by Chewy at all. I ordered from them based on my sisters recommendation.
My Boyz
I read up on several diff dry dog food, because I care whts actually going into their bodies & 8 came across this brand. I love whts in it & even more so whts Not in their food. Even sweeter I had a 50% off frm the prev online comp where I only bought their food frm & sadly nolonger in business. So I'll be feeding my Boyz, Bandit & Tank, this brand permanently. They absolutely love the flavor & this 40lb bag will feed both dog's for quite sometime, which is awesome & financially pleasing, even more awesome! Bandits a very picky eater, but Tank won't ever starve because he'll eat anything thts put in his bowl..LoL As soon as this food goes into Bandit's bowl, he's devouring every single piece! B is 7 1/2yo/T will be 2yo & now they're eating the same food, because prior, they had their own, seperate bags of food tht catered specifically to their tastes, needs-age wise & tht was $o expen$ive. We paid twice mnthly= B $86 + T $104. Thank God my youngest daughter hlps paying. But this 40lb bag tht both of'em eats, will last longer & way'way cheaper. So Purina ONE, we thank u! I highly recommend this brand & flavor for any1 who's looking for a healthier dry food, by a comp who actually cares wht our furbabies are ingesting!
I had high hopes
I really really wanted this food to work for my labrador. It was less expensive than her previous food and had good reviews. Too bad it wasn't the food for her. She actually gained weight and her coat was much less shiny. Despite the higher cost, we will be going back to her previous food.
Am I the only one
I switched my pit bull to this for higher protein and she broke out horribly and is still breaking out. So disappointing especially since this food was more expensive than the last I gave her. Would not recommend.
Not for smaller breed !!
Purchased this for my 2 shihtzu, 's .this dog food has huge chucnks of the "meaty" pieces throughout the bag. Looks like you get alot more than you are with these chunks. Picture provided in description doesn't look anything like the actual food you received. I will find another turkey flavored food for my pups for weight management. One has been diagnosed with Cushings disease, the other could stand to take off some weight. They both LOVE THE TASTE OF THE FOOD. My complaint is with packaging and description of food in.
Dog hates it
I have a 3 year old gsd mix who struggles with keeping weight off of her. I thought this food would help, but she absolutely hates it. She's normally the type to inhale her food the second I set it down and never leaves any crumbs. Well with with food, she half heartily eats it and leaves most of it in her bowl. Nothing Chewy did, but I don't recommend this food because Sandi isn't a picky eater, and she hated it.

Not feeling too much about Chewy’s it’s changing too much over time and finding myself ordering more through another company. It’s just not like it used to be.
My Dog Loves It
My 6-year-old Husky loves this food. I tried switching her off of it because it is a little pricy but she refused to eat anything else. The moment I switched back to this food she emptied her bowl within minutes. The dried pieces of chicken are like little treats mixed in. She would probably eat the entire bag if left unattended.
